Mines gotta be the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Such amazing, friendly dogs. :metal
-
Black Lab
-
Akita. I LOVE Akitas.
-
I like shelter mutts. Dunno why. All of my dogs have been terrier-based mutts
-
German Shepherds
Only kind of dog I've ever had. ha
-
Frankfurter with chili and cheese.
-
Cho the obnoxious yellow lab.
He may be out to kill me, but I love him because he's my dog.

We had a St. Bernard while I was growing up. Awesome dog. (His name was Trail)
We then had a Beagle; another awesome dog. (Named Hambone)
I've had a Norwegian Elkhound, beautiful dog but very busy! (Hamar)
I also had a rescued "Coy Dog" (coyote/black lab mix). One of the best dogs I've ever known. (Molly)
Now we have two rescued Huskies; Lucy, a Husky/Greater Swiss Mtn. dog mix; and Dreyfuss, a pure bred Siberian Husky.
I've loved every dog I've ever had the pleasure of taking care of, and they have all been great dogs. I tend to favor the "Spitz" type breeds I guess. I love larger working type dogs. I've never had my huskies pull a cart or anything (although I'm told they love too), but we have had Lucy work as an agility dog, and she's awesome!
Beagles are great dogs too!
Everyone of the dogs I listed are great dogs with families (especially St. Bernards, and Huskies), but they all also require a lot of excercise (especially the Norwegian Elkhound)
-
Anything bigger than a toaster oven that's not a poodle.
-
I don't like poodles, either.
-
German Shepard - Must be purebred white. Must. If so; immediate love. Just. Totally.
-
One more vote for German Shepherds, greatest dogs ever.
-
Golden Retrievers / Chesapeake Bay Retrievers / Labs
fuck yea
and If i had to get a small dog... it would be a fucking toy poodle. or a Shi zhu. One is smarter than it needs to be and the other tends to be... stupid.
-
Frankfurter with chili and cheese.
I'll go with this. I hate dogs, so there is no favourite.
-

Pretty much this, though I've had a few other types of dogs too. I'm not really picky.
Unfortunately my current residence doesn't allow pets :sadpanda:

This. I can't stand small dogs.

The Retrievers of Gold
-
I really like border collies.
I really friendly pitbull is an awesome dog as well.
-
Grew up always having a Black Lab and some sort of smaller shelter mutt. I love Labs and mutts always seem to be the sweetest, smartest dogs out there.
I have a 10 year old Black Shepherd/Lab mix that I found under a set of stairs. You could literally count the bones in his body when I found him. His name is 'Drake' and he is a fantastic dog, so freakin' great with my 3 little kiddos. So good in fact that any time we get around other dogs I make sure to remind my kids that those dogs aren't Drake and that they need to be "careful". I mean, Drake lets them pull on ears, ride him, wrestle...you name it...he does it.
I had a Boston Terrier as well in my early twenties. He was a cool dog too. I think that I'd like to have one of those again someday. But my heart lies with Black Labs or any mix there of.

Boxer.

Greyhounds are the best them. Period.

A direwolf.

Love greyhounds :D
-
Ones that stay the fuck away from me.
-
My current dog is a cocker spaniel, and he's my favorite dog ever, so I will go with that.
But I like most dogs. I prefer ones that aren't at extremes, like extremely small or extremely big. Or extremely ugly, or extremely violent/agressive.
-
Ones that stay the fuck away from me.
This, or a hot one.

The Retrievers of Gold

The Retrievers of Gold
Sounds like a post rock band I wouldn't care two shits about :lol

Ones that stay the fuck away from me.
Oh yeah, you're one of those people.
You know? The ones that are dead inside.

Sigz and zxlkho have all of their albums on vinyl.
-
I don't think Sigz listens to vinyl. Quadrochosis on the other hand...
But I have to agree: Golden Retrievers are my favorites. King Charles Spaniels are adorable as well. I pretty much love all dogs.
-

Same here, love mine to bits.
I like the look of a Hungarian Puli though...

Also, I know jack shit about different types of dogs.

Seriously Drew, I THOUGHT YOU KNEW ME BETTER THAN THIS
-
I love an English Bulldog, but for a more practical dog probably border collies or black labs. I love everything but little yip dogs though.
-
I lose all manliness when it comes to dogs. Corgis are just too adorable for me to look at without losing all semblance of rationality or intelligence.
Fuck I love cute dogs.

My favorite breeds are beagles:

Yep. They're the best dogs.
Huskies are cool too...but AFAIK they aren't as loving.
-
As the owner of 2 dogs a Bichon and a Poodle (we rescued him from a shelter about 2 weeks ago) I don't have an issue with any type of breed

Wrong....Huskies are very gentle, loving dogs. The BEST around kids I've ever seen, and are incredibly affectionate. The only thing is they do have a bit of an independent streak in them, which means that if an intruder took over your house, and tossed you out, your husky might miss you for a few days, but he'd be following the other guy around after a while. :lol This is actually a good thing for their intended purpose. Sledding. In the sled dog world, the dog has to be able to be independent minded enough that if the musher/driver tries to blindly drive the team over a cliff, that they will not go over the edge. This inbred trait usually exhibits itself when it's raining buckets outside, and you are running late to somewhere, and you call the dog to come inside, and he takes a couple of steps, and then pauses....before sitting down and staring at you, and then try as you might to control the tension in your voice, he finally lies down (in the mud usually), and looks away like he can't hear you, thereby forcing you to go to HIM and make him come inside. This bit of stubbornness and their wanderlust are the two biggest things that you need to worry about. I know someone whose husky won the nationals in obedience search and rescue (huskies are one of, if not the smartest breeds), but this same, well trained, obedient, intelligent dog, ran across the street from her one day and was struck and killed by an oncoming truck.
-
I like dogs that wharrgarbl.
-
I have two miniature golden doodles. Awesome dogs. Both dumb as a rock, but great fun.
-
I have a tricolor collie.
A Main Coon (he actually behaves more like a dog)
-
My and my GF's dogs. She has the female pugglet/puggle/pug-hound mix on the left. Mine is the 3/4 english bulldog & 1/4 beagle mix on the right.

My dad always says, "A good dog is a dead dog".
-
My Father has a Catahoola Leopard Dog. From what I heard about the species it was originally bred and cultivated by Southern Native American Indians to wrestle/hunt wild hog. This dog does not have one ounce of fat on its body....it's a freakin' piece of steel. Just solid and thick. He has a blue and green eye which freaks me out and his head is as massive and bulky as a bowling ball and his bark sounds like a ticked off Lion. That bark alone would make you pee yourself if you heard it out of the blue. All of that and he is a sweet dog, just huge and hard to handle.
-
Yorkshire Terriers.

The one on the right needs the classic dog caption of "FEELS GOOD, MAN"

I know a lot of you don't like small dogs, but I love my Cockapoos. They're specialty bread mixed breed of Cocker Spaniel and Poodle, with the cool aspects of Cocker Spaniels and the lack of shedding that comes with a poodle.
Here's what they look like. This is Daisy, she's 8 years old:
This is Dino and he's 5 years old:
Both were rescued from a cruel breeder who is actually now in jail for a host of animal cruelty offenses.
-
The only dog I ever owned was half husky half german shephard. i loved him
My favorite dog ever though is a Great Dane. Now THAT'S a dog
-
^My neighbor has a Great Dane! His name is "Rufus" and he's freaking huge and overly friendly, but I don't mind. Whenever I go over there I end up on the grass play-fighting with Rufus and he's the most kind and gentle soul, with so much friendliness.
The only downside is the gigantic size of the, um, packages he leaves in the yard. :lol
-

George Carlin said that the biggest problem with a Great Dane is that with a normal dog you only have to look for shit in one direction.

We had a family in the neighborhood that had 8 great danes. They were huge!!! We now have a next door neighbor how has a half great dane and half bull mastiff. He looks like Scooby Doo. He is so lovable and I'm not joking when I say he also doubles as an ottoman.
-
Frankfurter with chili and cheese.
Served with a Claussens on the side?
-
My ex had a few mastiffs. One of them was really mean (she didn't like men for whatever reason), and the other 2 were the best damn dogs ever.

Brittany (formerly Brittany Spaniel). Labradors and springer spaniels are also brilliant.

Beware of cutness overload! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGlURmUBJdY&feature=plcp)
My sister have a Bernese Mountain Dog and i love that dog to death! I don't know why but i prefer big dogs over small dogs, always have.
-
Every dog I've owned has been a mutt from the shelter and I couldn't have been happier with any of them.
-
I don't know why but i prefer big dogs over small dogs, always have.
Me too. I'm always afraid of stepping on or kicking a small dog. You just walk into big dogs.
I just found out I am allowed to have pets at my rental property, so if my contract is renewed for next year I'm getting myself another greyhound or two.
-
Nice.
-
I have a cockapoo, and can't think of a better dog :heart
-
My friend has a chihuahua, you guys have seen his pic, and one thing I noticed, if you treat a chihuahua like a dog and not a fucking fashion accessory, they can be pretty cool dogs.
-
I love labradors, but it's either them or a Brittany. Those things are hillarious.
-
favorite dog? mine of course

Black Labs, but I'm a cat person now.
