Title: If someone from DTF gets a ticket for life...
Post by: Ħ on September 07, 2011, 04:19:10 PM
We should use it collectively.  Like, mail it around every time DT is touring.  Yay or nay?

The number of people I would trust with it is very small.  Hell, we couldn't get a hat sent around the country.

I'm almost sure it'll be registered to one specific person so only they can use it. Would only make sense as to avoid schemes like this.

Used to be.  It must have gotten deleted in the massive clean-up of old threads.

Come to think of it, I think bosk was trying to get rid of the evidence that he was the last person with the hat  :police:

That's funny, I thought you meant theoretically. I was going to suggest that we do that.

That is hilarious!!! Did you guys really mail a hat around the country??

Anyway, I doubt they'd share. Too much of a risk of it get lost or something...that would really suck.
"Hello, __insert name here___, I unfortunately must inform you that we had a massive fire at the station and lost everything, including your letter. Do forgive us for the inconvinience."
"FUUUUUUUUUU-"

Tried to about 18 months ago but shit didn't materialize to fruition. Each person on its itinerary was adding their own piece of "flair" to it but somewhere along the way it stopped making its rounds and I never specifically found out why.

That somewhere along the line would be bosk!

In all seriousness though, mailing the ticket around is the worst idea ever.  Worse than my Val Kilmer thread.  Worse than launching a national campaign ad for feces-flavored sandwich spread, complete with proper odor.

Vegemite doesn't need to advertise. They're very well established in the Australian market.

Well nastily speaking we could photoshop it, change the name on it and copy it for as many people as we want.

No keygen required.

I smell a new MS Paint thread comin'. Either that or Vegemite.

Damn it now I want to organize another hat thingy. Maybe early next year, after Secret Santa (we are doing this again. Last years was kickass).

I think it would work if the mods make a list of people they find trustworthy and could be in the circulation. But we would probably alienate a lot of the 2011 newbies who we still don't know well enough to include in the list.

I would require significant collateral before I put my ticket out there...I'd put it in the several thousand dollar range.

1. Pretty sure the thing will be ID-based, so it won't really be possible.
2. Even if it was possible, it would be fraud and strictly illegal.
