Hi,
I need to buy/bring a few movies out to my Godkids that are at the beach for the weekend with me and my wife and thier parents who are our closest friends ( obviously lol) .. we love silly movies like "Step Brothers and Talladega Nights"...
can you make suggestions like those type of movies? we love to laugh over silly catch lines from movies, my Godkids are a boy 9 and girl who is 11, so it has to be somewhat for kids, they are very mature for their ages tho, but I dont want anything that is too mature

Since Ytse brought up Mel Brooks, might as well throw in History of the World Part 1 and Robin Hood: Man in Tights.

I enjoyed Napolean Dynomite.. but its got some sex scenes in it.. etc.. and again its for the Godkids , ages 9 and 11.
so it has to be a bit slapstickish and something where the funny parts are sorta raucous and we can have good belly laughs..I know they see movies that have sexy stuff in them etc.. they are mature kids, but Im not going to bring that movie..
but thanks to everyone who is taking the time to make suggestions, I do appreciate them..

As for movies for kids, that is tough to say since most comedies have some foul language. Uncle Buck and What About Bob? would be good ones, so long as you know where the few curse words are (that you could mute).

I watched Blazing Saddles recently. It was funny, but I was expecting a lot more from a film that has become legendary for its humor. And, I'm sorry, I just can't take Gene Wilder seriously. He'll always be Willy Wonka to me no matter what movie he's in.
