Bummer.  Playing "Jungleland" now in his honor.  My favorite CC sax solo.

Yeah, I just listened to Jungleland. I still get the chills when I hear that solo.

RIP Clarence.

 :omg:

Oh my God...I'm actually shocked right now.  I had no idea he had a stroke.  I'm so so so fortunate to have seen him with the E Street Band two years ago.  His sax solos were the best.  Time to dedicate myself to all my old Springsteen vinyl.  :( :( :(

There was definitely a somber mood across New Jersey today.  Definitely sucks.

Also, don't forget that CC was one of The Three Most Important People in the World.  Possibly the Most Important.

Yeah...I didn't think it would hit me this hard, but it has.

I'm not what you'd consider a HUGE fan, but I respect the hell out of the work they've done.

My wife went to school with Danny Federicci's son.

Here's the weird part. My wife said she brought The River with her in the car yesterday and she didn't find out about it until this morning.

Very sad.

Sad.. saw him so many times.. we had lunch yesterday in Asbury , and went over to the Stone Pony..where they had a tribute. I heard Bruce was there also.

Its funny.. I gave up on Bruce at the time of The River, to me it was over, but I always liked how so many enjoyed the songs and fun. I dont agree with Bruce, so thats tough for also, but it is
sad for NJ.

This is the second great saxophonist to pass in the last couple of years (Dave Matthews Band's LeRoi Moore also died in 2008), and they were my two favourite of all time. A very fond farewell to one of the greatest saxophonists of all time.
