Well, I'm just curious to see where the majority falls.
Feel free to post your height (if you feel comfortable sharing).
Same goes for any nicknames/stories.
Please round upwards to the nearest inch to make voting easier!
I happen to be 6'2", and because I'm lanky, I'm known by my friends as "the Tower" or "the tree."

I'm almost 6'7".....and I'm very slim so I'm very god damn lanky. Must put on weight. And I'm that guy that you hate to stand behind at a concert.

5'11" and wishing I was taller. I consider the height I do have to be a blessing, but every bit helps when it comes to sports, especially volleyball.

I agree with you on the shorter dudes part but I seldom catch that happening with average height/tall dudes and for women the only ones I've ever noticed is ones that are like 99th percentile short.
Oh well, different experiences for different people I s'pose and certainly not a topic worth me debating over :angel:

Not that DTF is necessarily a representative sample of the world, but this is probably going on here too. Just based on the reported heights so far in this thread, and that to my knowledge the worldwide average height of an adult male is still around 5'8".

Same here. My old boss used to call me hat rack. I still havn't figured that one out but, I know it had to do with my height.
My freshman year in highschool I was 6'1" and only 140 pounds. I disapeared if I turned sideways.

You always see average heights quoted that are a fair bit below 6', but I don't really feel that tall because most of my friends are about the same height (and one is 6'6). Would like to see an average for males under 30 years old or something.

You know what...That sounds alright. I was thinking of becoming a wood elf in honour of Skyrim, but dwarves are bad ass!

I'm just about 6', which as you know is not THAT tall, but somehow or another I ended up being one of the tallest around my workplace, and I'm constantly asked for help reaching things, or being called "the tall guy", its the weirdest thing :lol
