Title: The "Tim Burton" Thread
Post by: TimelessSymphony on April 22, 2011, 12:47:41 AM: i'm watching Nightmare Before Christmas and i am amazed how the movie is done it's the best animated movie from all time using this kind of technology!! i've been watching the movie around 40 times now and still like it it's never get old!!! the score in the movie is just EPIC!!! Danny Elfman is one of my favorite composer and i'm glad that Tim chooses Elfman because he's a genious for making music:D i wonder whats next for Burton i think the last movie with him was Corpse Bride (another masterpiece) but i'm not sure....

But despite being repetitive in style, Elfman is great :)

But you know that Burton didn't actually direct Nightmare Before Christmas right?

Sweeny and Big Fish were good, in my opinion. Some of the others, though...

I'm waiting for him to do a film on par with his earlier works. We shall see. The only other director I can think of with as strong of a string of films was John Carpenter.

Post by: Mr. Beale on April 23, 2011, 07:57:29 PM: Edward Scissorhands was my favorite movie as a kid. Doesn't entirely hold up now but still pretty good. Same with the Batman films. Big Fish is probably my favorite film of his now.
