When my family lived out in the boonies, we'd get strays all the time. If it was a dog, my Dad would check it for a collar. If it had a collar, he'd contact the owner. If it didn't, he'd leave it alone. If it was sick, he'd shoot it to end its suffering.

If it was a stray cat, however, he'd just shoot it on sight. That's how much he hates cats. I certainly didn't condone it. In fact, I would protest to him that it was cruel, but he never listened to me. Probably because I was under the age of 10, and I didn't have a say in the matter.

Having grown up in rural Arkansas only 2 1/2 hours from where Gadough lives I KNOW his accent. I used to have one but after living in so many different places and marrying a yankee from New Jersey, my accent only makes short appearances when I talk to my parents on the phone. However, it is my opinion that his accent is not anything like Hank Hill. Hank Hill's accent is a Texas accent all the way.
