I know that Guitarded compressed one of his vertebrae, EPICVIEW mangled his wrist in a cab door, and I'm still running around with two pins in my right ring finger (getting them out on Tuesday though, w00t!). So, this is the official aliment thread. Discuss.

I lost my spleen to cancer. Blew up to 4 times it's size. I was throwing up everywhere.

I got a cut on my hand while helping a friend move in the other day, but it seems to be healing nicely.
-
I almost passed out while eating today. Does that count?
-
My sprained ankle cant hold a ghetto burning toothpick candle alternative to many of these
-
I have had a series of 4 major knee surgeries (because my patellas are too small for my knees), plus some hitherto undiagnosed GastroIntestinal ailment
-
I got a boiling hot oil burn 2 days ago. Hurt like a bitch for a night, but it doesn't hurt anymore. I have some funny looking red spots on my hand and wrist though. Kinda like a weird tattoo.

I still have a missing lateral incisor and a broken finger due to hockey.
-
Currently I have a broken (I'm fairly sure) left ring finger from playing football that is still in the healing process. It's pretty crooked and I don't have health insurance, but it's not too big a deal. It doesn't really affect the use of my left hand, except grip strength.
Also I did something to my left knee playing basketball a few weeks ago, but again it's a pretty minor nagging pain rather than anything debilitating.

I have 20 teeth, due to an accident I had when I was 6 years old and others just not growing in.
That's all I can think of.
-
I have an odd growth on my right index finger. The doctor doesn't even know what it is, but he says it's harmless.
-
I'd get a different doctor if I were you.
-
Yeah, so would I. :-\ We were complaining about it afterwards. My mom's too lazy to take me to see a different one though.
-
Stomach is currently producing too much acid. GOT TO TAKE MAH OMEPRAZOLE EVERY DAY RIGHT NOW!

I have had a prosthetic eye since I was two years old due to retinal cancer.

Wow

Do you were an eye-patch? Because, they can look pretty damn cool. :yarr

I have severe psychological issues because my parents were killed by a runaway ice cream truck when I was just a child.
-
Compared to what some of you have gone through I don't compare. I have only 20 teeth in my mouth due to severe overcrowding of them as a child, most were pllued in my early teens. I have torn menicus in both knees, had the left one scoped about a year ago, also arthritis in both knees as well as my right hip and lots of aches and pains that come with being an old fogey
-
I had my two pins pulled out of my finger on Tuesday, and now I have nice exercises I'm supposed to do to get my range of motion back. Given that I'm a guitar player, I have a rather strong motivation to do those exercises :lol

Is Ice Cream Man the guy that goes around fighting crime or the guy that drives around in an ice cream truck and puts rat poison in kids' ice cream?

When I mutilated my left hand guitar was the one thing that sped up my therapy tenfold. My OT was very impressed.

I'm missing 2/3rds of my meniscus in my left leg. I'm going to end up having arthritis no doubt in about...20 years or so? Something like that.

lat, your young. How did that happen?

There is actually a really funny (and pathetic, don't forget pathetic) story that goes along with that. Back in middle school I was on a trip at Disneyland with my 8th grade class. I was sitting down on a curb waiting for my friends to stop going on the same ride 10 times in a row. As I stood up to throw my coke bottle away, I twisted my knee in some weird position, dislocating something (which later I found out it was the meniscus, not the knee joint itself). So, I just stood there in pain, and popped the fucker back into place.
Now fast forward to my senior year of high school. Over the years, my leg would do this whole dislocating thing, and I'd just push it back into place no problem. Well, it finally stopped cooperating one day when I was in a spinny chair, and caught my leg on one of the legs and spun around. As I did so, it dislocated and I tried to push it back in and apparently passed out from the pain. My teacher then called an ambulance, I went to the hospital and got a leg brace. They did some x-rays and found out the meniscus had flipped itself over INTO THE FUCKING KNEE JOINT. So two weeks pass by, I have knee surgery done and now my leg is fine aside from missing my meniscus.
The entire chain of events during that fateful day was really pathetic, really. I normally spice up the story a bit when re-telling it so it includes explosions, tigers and hot babes.
-
That is too bad man. Makes you think that whenever something happens like that, go to a doctor right away.
Also the story would have been epic if it was dislocated with a hot babe.

Oh if we're talking about arthritis
I have the arthritis of a 50 year old in my knees because bone's been rubbing against bone for the past ten years
-

I actually just finished a 6 month eyepatch stint during which time I had several manly patches to choose from. The only effect for me is cosmetic due to the prosthetic only retaining about 60% of the movement of the original eye so if I look at you or an object at an angle then it becomes pretty nyahhhhh until I straighten/adjust my head. Otherwise aside from the lack of vision thing it isn't a bad deal. Plus I get a pair of snazzy half tinted polycarbonate eyeglasses paid for by insurance to wear at all times which gets me hella chix.

Wouldn't they normally have shaved the bone or done some medicine magic to reduce the friction?

I have something weird wrong with something, just not sure what. I'm constantly naeseous and my head and ears pound 24/7. That plus insomnia really sucks, but holy crap at a lot of these posts.

Off the top of my head:
- Strep throat
- Probably fractured finger (unconfirmed) for several weeks
- Patello-Femoral Syndrome (Runner's Knee)
- Patellar Tendonitis (Jumper's Knee)
- An unidentified breathing problem similar to asthma but worse
And probably more if I gave it some thought.
