If I ever got drunk (which I never have) Tom Waits would probably be my first choice. ;D

When I'm drinking and at a bar. I always am in the mood for some Steel Panther. Plus, it makes make people in the bar make funny faces.
If you are not aware of who Steel Panther is, view this.

Whenever I used to get together with friends and drink, we always listened to LOUD music, but not necessarily HEAVY music. But volume was the key.
-
I was only drunk once in my life and I wasn't listening to music. I don't plan on drinking again, but if I do, I'll have to blast some Megadeth.
-
I imagine on my 21st, I'm going to be listening to a lot of Alestorm.

Yes! Some Steel Panther love! I love "Asian Hooker". Heavy breakdown before chorus is godly.
Drinking + Music (Any) < Smoking + SFAM

Would you recommend a good local stout? Wychwood sounds good. I've had HobGoblin before and I love it.
-
Stout isn't my specialty as I don't really drink stout ,but Marston's Oyster Sout ain't bad at all and they have it on cask sometimes in my local!!! A great real ale which I had tonight though was Old Empire...5.7% wooooow, plus I've had about 6 Hobgoblins and now I'm off out again to see a good band...Junkyard Dog, I do a couple of joint gigs with them occasionally and the guitarist used to be in the Human League, top guy and great guitar player ;D
-

Huh. I can barely do beer anymore :(
More of a wine guy now. So I like a nice, vintage wine, and over the topic epic metal like Savatage or possibly even The Count of Tuscany.
-
When I drink I end up listening to Steven Wilson's Insurgentes
-
I don't think drinking is solely great with heavy music. I like it in a party atmosphere but the are some great atmospheric music that demands drinking.
-
When I drink its to drown out the sound of my pleading heart
Actually, its a good tool for socializing and thus I rarely get to listen to MY music since it's usually in party settings.
-
I enjoy hip hop the most when drinking. And any sort of downtempo, trip hoppy stuff for later on.
-
Industrial metal, whether or not the rest of the bar patrons appreciate it. I'm getting some Ministry with my whiskey n' Coke, or there'll be some Hell to pay.
