This band is amazing and there isn't a thread to discuss them at all. Écailles de lune was on so many people's top ten lists and there isn't ever any discussion about the album here from what I can tell.
Song rankings for Écailles de lune:
1. Écailles de lune - part 2
2. Percées de lumière
3. Écailles de lune - part 1
4. Sur l'ocean couleur de fer
5. Solar Song
6. Abysses
Please discuss.
-
Écailles de lune was such a fantastic album, and such a positive surprise for me last year.
Haven't checked out the first album yet, but Écailles de lune remains awesome never the less.
Hard to pick a favorite, I love the whole album and how it flows. :)
-
I haven't heard them in nearly a year, but I'm a fan and they were the first shoegaze-kind band I listened to.
-
They're alright but not as exciting as certain publications make them out to be
-
They're alright but not as exciting
Disagree. The music is incredibly exciting.

Disagree. The music is incredibly exciting.
I've heard a shoegaze band before so it's really not all that :P
-
I only have Ecailles de Lune, but it's gorgeous. Sur l'ocean couleur de fer is probably my favorite song.
-
Souvenirs D'un Autre Monde is really awesome as well guys. Check it out!
-
This album is awesome. Either Escailles de Lune, Part 2 or Percees de Lumiere is my favorite track.
-

+1. I think I'd like the two equally if Écailles de lune didn't have Écailles de lune - part 2. That one song makes it one of my favorite albums of 2010..

-
I was actually just about to try Écailles de Lune. If it's as good as people make it out to be then I may just go.
-
Never heard about them til now. Listening to Percées de Lumière as a first taste of them. The roaring caught me off guard in a good way since I was expecting it to be either instrumental or for whiny vocals to be predominant. Pleasant surprise indeed. Thanks for the head's up on this, zydeco! ;)
-

Really great album! I'd definitely be interested in going to see them.
-
Check out Souvenirs D'un Autre Monde as well. It's a little more shoegaze-y.
-
I still feel bad for not seeing them back in April when they came here, but it was right between Mogwai and Tallest Man on Earth, so I was really low on cash. :/
-
Mogwai and Tallest Man on Earth
You are excused.
-
I also figured that they don't have much material yet and maybe the concert would be fairly short, but if they come here again with a new album and a tour, I am so there. :)
-
Is this an Alcest headlining tour, or the other band headlining?
-
I've only heard their album Souvenirs d'une autre monde, but it is a very solid album. Good modern shoegaze with a metal sound to it as well -- dare I say "metalgaze". Very melodic. Some of the most beautiful walls of sound ever. I haven't heard EdL, though. I've heard it's a bit different stylistically than SdAM. Anyone care to chime in on this?
-

They're opening for Enslaved.
-
boo
-
Enslaved is probably the best black metal band I can think of, so I wouldn't mind seeing them.
-
Souvenirs D'un Autre Monde is one of my favorite CDs of the past few years. I love it to bits, especially "Primtemps Emeraude." I liked Ecailles De Lune, but I LOVED Souvenirs. Great band.
-
Hopefully seeing Alcest on Oct 22, just need to find where to get a ticket.
-
Bump. More news on the new album.
In an interview with Romanian webzine Carta De Nisip, Alcest frontman Neige announces the title for its third album, Les Voyages De L'âme (Trans: The Soul's Journey), due out later this year through Prophecy Productions.
About the album, Neige comments: "The next album is already recorded and will contain 8 songs. It's a longer album than the previous ones, very rich and having a lot of different atmospheres. It will contain harsh vocals but will surely be the last one having these kind of vocals parallel to the clean ones. It is called Les Voyages De L'âme, which could be translated to "The Soul's Journey" and concerning concept of this album its title is saying a lot about it..."

It will be out this year as well?
Holy fuck 2011 will be even more amazing.
-
I've enjoyed pretty much anything that Neige works on. His output with Alcest is just as mesmerising as those with Amesoeurs. I think things clicked with me with this band because of how BM acts like Watain have been branching into more experimental territory. It also helped that I've enjoyed the mix of shoegaze and metal since listening to my first Jesu record.
-
What an extremely pleasant suprise to hear that Alcest is releasing a new album THIS YEAR.
I wasn't expecting anything until 2013 at least.
-
New Alcest this year? Pinch me I must be dreaming :D
-
A teaser trailer has been posted online for "Autre Temps," the upcoming new single from Alcest.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=grzlV7Iqz-k
Prophecy Productions commented on the clip:
"See here a short teaser for 'Autre Temps,' the advance single of Alcest's upcoming album 'Les Voyages De L'Âme.' A professional video clip has been shot for this, and it will be unveiled on December 2nd. The very same day will see the release of the single as digital download and limited etched vinyl!"

See here the track list of "Les Voyages De L'Âme"! The album will contain 8 tracks and have a total running time of 50 minutes.
1. Autre temps
2. Là Où Naissent Les Couleurs Nouvelles
3. Les Voyages De L'Âme
4. Nous Sommes L'Emeraude
5. Beings Of Light
6. Faiseurs De Mondes
7. Havens
8. Summer's Glory
I am very psyched about this album, but I can't help but to get "The voyages of the lame" or something out of the album title, which makes me laugh every time. :lol
Psyched about it never the less, also loving the artwork!
-
Seeing this band headline in 9 days.
Suck it
:hat
-
The time has come. Gotta do some work, then going for dinner and will be chilling with alcest tonight. OMG I am so pumped. Will update with pictures and the like tomorrow.
-
Sounds awesome!
-
Oh yes. I will be chilling with Alcest hard. They might not know it yet, but they will soon
-
BACK.
Man, what an awesome show. I'll skip the opening bands because they're not important. The first, Elf Fatima, was a decent post-rock act that sounds ALOT like Explosions in the Sky. The second was a group of guys who just literally made noises and played with electronics the whole time, like a wannabe Bass Communion or something. Alcest is the important part, though.
Setlist is a blur, might be in the wrong order, but I'm pretty sure this is what was played unless I'm forgetting something or getting confused:
Le Secret (opener)
Les Iris
Summer's Glory (new)
Escailles de Lune pt 1
Printemps
Souvernirs
Solar Song
Peirces de Lumiere
Encore:
Elevation
The show itself was fucking awesome. It was great seeing Alcest's tunes come to life, especially since sometimes the studio quality is less than perfect. I had chills down my spine the whole night. The heavy moments were particularly awesome, with Peices and Elevation being the highlight. Neige's live harshes are really incredible. His singing is good too, but the harshes really have such a power to them that sounds really amazing live. Unfortunately, with my phone I could only snag a couple blurry pictures of them playing so I won't respost them here.
The audience was into it, really moving a lot and all-around having a good time. Were lots of different people there, too. Was surprised to see so many ladies. This was not the sausage fest I'm used to prog/rock/metal concerts in the states being like.
Afterwards, all the guys came out and I got pictures with everyone but the bassist. I asked Winterhalter if he could tell me anything about the new album, and he just smiled saying that it was a combo of everything. Then I asked Neige the same question, and he said "What do you want to know?" He told me it was 50 minutes long, and a combo of everything Alcest has done before. He told me that it was about being near-death, on the verge of the afterlife, etc... He told me that the next album after Voyages will contain no metal and be all "clean." A girl asked him about the lyrics, and he told her that he couldn't begin to explain the lyrics without explaining the concept of Alcest first. Being the daring one, I asked him what that was, and he told me that the "music" of Alcest is only 10 percent of Alcest, and the most important thing is the concept of the "spirit world", or "alternate dimension" which, he stressed, is not fantasy but very real. He seemed genuinely happy to talk to people interested in what he had to say about all of that stuff, and was very engaged about it all.
Afterwards, me and another guy chatted it up with him about the tour and whatnot. This was the last show, and he said that he and the band were exhausted. He said that this tour had been the biggest they had ever done, and told me they were going out again next spring or early winter with Les Discreets (I think) throughout Europe. He said his bandmates love to party (they'd been drinking while performing all night) and asked me if I knew any good bars around. Unfortunately, there were none. The gig was literally in the middle of an industrial park.
After chatting with him for like 15-20 minutes, he left to get ready to go and so did my new friend and I. But not before taking these pics with the band:

I'm really jealous, they amazed me so much with Ecailles De Lune (still have the first to check out), and I am really excited about the new one.
I had the opportunity to see them earlier this year, but I didn't go because there was also concerts with Mogwai and Tallest Man on Earth, and I sorta went with those over Alcest.
However, if they come back here on the next tour, I am SO going!
-

They're doing Europe in February, with Les Discreets I think.
Someone took a very good video of Percees de Lumiere.

By the way, Neige said that's one of this two favorite songs to play. Forget what the other was... haha.

new alcest is beyond godly
-
New album is really good, have listened to it twice so far.

New Alcest=much win. I see me playing it a lot.

Listening to the new album for about the third time in the past two days right now

Neige: "Hello there! Some days ago Winterhalter and I recorded demos for the next Alcest album, for which I have almost finished the songwriting. Only a few arrangements are missing, and the lyrics as well... In our case they always come late in the process. As I said in recent interviews, you can expect something different from Alcest's previous releases. I don't think there are any metal music elements anymore, though a lot of very intense parts and dynamics are still there. Things are just done in another way, and the core remains the same. That album will come back to the nostalgic side of Alcest, it's very dreamy, aquatic and a bit less progressive than the last two albums. Melodies are taking their time to grow, if you see what I mean. I feel very excited about these songs and this new approach feels very refreshing to me. I also can tell that the album will be recorded next March in Iceland at Sundlaugin, Sigur Rós' studios, with producer Birgir Jón Birgisson. There will also be guests appearances - more infos about this will come later. I will keep you posted!"
-
Ecallies De Lune has been my jam for the last week or so. The entire sequence after 2:42 in Part 2 is god tier.
-
:hat :hat :hat :hat :hat
good shit
-
" The next Alcest album will be called "Shelter". We just received the master from Sterling Studios/New York City, by Joe Laporta who has done masters for Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire, Beach House, etc... It sounds really nice!"
:omg: :metal
-
Hmm, I ought to check this band out.
-
Ecailles De Lune is awesome!
My friend told me about this band saying, "Have u listened to Alcest? It is like Black metal for girlfriends."
I found that so funny that I had to try ;D

I'm not a black metal fan at all and I don't have a gf, but I like Alcest, so I guess they are a good band for non-black metal fans in general :lol

Yeah, Alcest is pretty far from black metal :p But It is the only kind of music with blastbeats and harsh vocals that my GF can listen to ;D
I haven't really got to listen my precious Emperor albums without headphones for a loooooong time :'( I wish she wouldn't be around so much :P

Also, Shelter will be out in January and will be completely non-metal according to Neige.
-
Oh man, thanks to Zantera I'm hooked and can't wait for more!
-
OK Alcest fans, I'm seeing them open for Anathema in two weeks, and haven't heard song 1 of theirs. How about a short playlist to get me familiar with them....
-
I highly recommend the last two albums, and they are roughly 90 minutes together, so should be doable to listen to! But if you still want individual songs, I would recommend Ecailles de Lune (Part 1 and 2), Percees de Lumiere, Là où Naissent les Couleurs Nouvelles, Les Voyages de l'Âme and Autre Temps.
-
Cool, thanks my good man :tup
-
Those are all good tracks that Zantera recommended, but...
I'd add that the debut album, Souvenirs d'un Autre Monde, is vastly underrated, and would suggest the first 3 tracks: Printems Émeraude, Souvenirs D'un Autre Monde, and Les Iris.
:tup
-
Just dropping in to say that Les voyages... is a freaking beautiful album :heart I liked Souvenirs when I bought it half a year ago, but this one is even better.
-
Thanks for the suggestions, hopefully I can pull myself away from DT12 long enough to give them a proper listen before the show.
-
They also played a couple new songs from the upcoming album. Overall, it was a very good live show. And prepare to have your mind blown by Anathema :heart
-
Oh yes, unbelievably stoked for them. The venue is about the size of a very small gym, it's gonna be killer.
-
From Metalstorm:
So far, we knew that Alcest's new album would be called Shelter, some guests that will be participating on the album, but not much more. Today is the day to find out more about the band's fourth album to date. Firstly, the album will be released on January 17th (January 21st in North America) on Prophecy Productions. The album cover and tracklist are also available below. As for the music, you will have to wait a little bit more for that.
The album which features guest appearances from Slowdive's Neil Halstead (lead vocals on the song "Away"), Sweden's Promise And The Monster's Billie Lindahl and Amiina's strings sections was recorded at Sundlaugin Studio, Iceland, with Sigur Rós producer Birgir Jón Birgisson.
The record is "about the concept of shelter as a safe place that allows everybody to escape reality for an instant, to reunite with what we really are, deep down. Neige's own shelter turned out to be the sea, as well as the tracks of this album, all inspired by and dedicated to it."

Neil Halstead appears on the album? :o Awesome!
-
The played tracks 2 and 8 when touring with anathema. If those are any indication as to the quality of the entire album, I have a feeling it's going to be great!
-
AOTY?
-
I don't think it will be, but hopefully in the best case, it will be up there among the better ones. As long as it's as good (or better) as the last two.
-
AOTY?
I wouldn't count on it. But it should, at the very least, be good

The two newest songs sound amazing. I've only listened to Ecailles De Lune so far, but I'll definitely check this one out. I think dropping the black metal elements was a good idea, honestly.

It really was incredible live! 2014 has some great albums coming out, and this is definitely up there.
-
I think dropping the black metal elements was a good idea, honestly.
Agreed - the debut is my favorite and I like Alcest's softer side more, so I'm sure I'll enjoy the new album. I'll also see them live in 3 weeks!
-
These new songs sound awesome, and I'm really excited for this album. Voyages is my favorite now but it's quite possible that Shelter will top it.
-
Amazing.
-
The new album is really good. Definitely glad they returned to a Souvenirs vibe.

Deliverance sounded really nice. I want to listen to the full album now

-
Amazing album.
-
I'll wait until I get the CD, but I have to say it's entertaining to read the whining of butthurt black metal fans in the comment section of the FB publication :lol
-
I'm not super familiar with their work, but hasn't the black metal part of their sound been fading for a long time now?
-
IIRC, Voyages still had a pretty prevalent black metal influence and sound to it, maybe not to the same extent as was on Ecailles but it was still a big part of their sound.
But I haven't listened to Voyages much since I got it. It never really grabbed me as much as Ecailles did so hopefully I'm not completely off the mark on it.
-
Got around to listening to the new album. Beautiful.
-
Just listened to Shelter for the first time. That was probably one of the most underwhelming listening experiences I've had.
-
Just listened to Shelter for the first time. That was probably one of the most underwhelming listening experiences I've had.
I think it starts extremely solid with the intro and then Opale, but yeah, the mid section REALLY drags, feels like it goes nowhere. But I think it gets better by the end.

The last three songs redeemed the album a bit. I really enjoyed those. The first 5 felt pretty average though. I like the kind of music they are making on the album, but the melodies and hooks weren't strong enough. Oh well, future listens might change that.
-
Yeah, I love Shelter, but it's not as diverse or as catchy as Voyages.
-
Great album, but I think the best songs were the ones that were released early.
Voix Sereins and Delivrance are easily my favorites.
-
I think Shelter's a beautiful album. Maybe not as diverse as Voyages or Escailles but it's definitely still the Alcest I knew and loved.
-
So while the album has its flaws, Delivrance might just be my favorite Alcest-song.
-
Shelter is pretty much the perfect summer album.
-
Too bad it came out right in the middle of winter. :lol
-
Les Voyages des L'Âme was also released in January and I would consider that a summer album also.
-
After a second listen, I think the album is gorgeous. Definitely more engaging after another listen!
-
Shelter is pretty much the perfect summer album.

Not in my hemisphere ;D
-
Forgot to post this before so here's the bonus track in case you guys haven't heard it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CLUHlYcLbk (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CLUHlYcLbk)
(feat. Billie Lindahl of Swedish band Promise and the Monster on vocals)
-
I thought the bonus track was better than the three middle tracks to be honest.
-
Yeah I've been listening to the deluxe version of the album on Spotify, so have heard that song on each listen. It's not bad, but nothing hugely exciting and doesn't really add much. I'll probably just buy the standard version when I get round to it.
-
I've given Shelter a couple of listens and I like it so far, with the exception of Delivrance, which could've been trimmed down. As a Slowdive fan I really enjoy Away - Neil Halstead's voice is different from Neige's and of course the lyrics aren't in French, but the music is still in the recognizable Alcest style.
I'll see Alcest live in a couple of days and tbh I'm not a superfan, but I'm looking forward to it and may post some thoughts after the show.
-
I think Deliverance is absolutely gorgeous!
-
I'd say Delivrance is by far the best. If the other songs were as good as it, the album would have been really good. Now it's just fine.
-
I like Voix Serienes (or however you spell it) a bit better.
Though the ending does sound suspiciously similar to Internal Landscapes by Anathema.
-
I saw Alcest live last night and the show was a really nice and beautiful experience :) The venue was pretty small and the atmosphere was intimate. It was probably the most mellow metal show I've been to, as there was barely any headbanging :D Neige didn't talk a lot, but he had a cute French accent and seemed really pleased to be there.
I won't spoil the setlist for those who want to be surprised, but there were two songs with screaming, so Alcest haven't pulled an Opeth despite the new direction. They used backing tracks for keyboards, backing vocals (the touring guitarist was clearly lip-syncing on some songs :P) and even some clean guitars on songs with more than two guitars. I didn't mind, though, because it made the sound fuller and the multilayered songs wouldn't have sounded the same if they had been stripped down.
If you have a chance to catch Alcest live, go and see them! Their shows are different from typical metal shows, but in a good way - you can just close your eyes and enjoy the music.
-
Ah I'd love to see them live! Really liking the new album :)

Me too, AOTY so far.
This band is probably my 6th favorite band now
-
So I listened to Shelter again, first time since January. It really bums me that this could have been a fantastic record, but it was a disappointment, and pretty "meh" overall. If only all songs were as good as Away and Delivrance (especially the latter), this would have been a homerun. Sadly the album doesn't really get going until the end, and once the awesomeness really kicks in, the album is over. :(
-
It's not as good, but I still think it's at a high level. But I am of the opinion that Alcest can do no wrong.
-
Aka. fanboy, the worst kind of fan. :P
-
Holy irony
-
I attended my first Alcest show last night and it was awesome! There were some minor sound issues but the intensity and the power more than compensated for that. Even thought I was standing in the same spot throughout the whole show and didn't headbang much I felt exhausted by the end.
-
I listened to Shelter. Wow, what a great album. Its the only Alcest I've heard so far, but not bad. I enjoyed it, but I bet their past works are different.
-
Shelter was not bad, but I would say it's the disappointment in their discography. Ecailles De Lune is crazy good, and the other two albums are really great as well.
-
Not really. But I'm just getting into Alcest, and I feel this is like an opeth style change, or Anathema.
-
If you like Shelter I highly suggest you listen to Souvenirs d'un Autre Monde next.
-
I haven't listened to the first album yet, but out of the three most recent ones I'd definitely say Les Voyages De L'Ame is the best.
-
Most Alcest fans say Ecailles De Lune was their best (and I don't disagree) but my personal favorite was Les Voyages De L'Ame. Shelter is one of my favorite albums of this year and stylistically it's not that far off from the first album Souvenirs d'un Autre Monde as that album had only clean vocals with the occasional black metal blast beat here and there. Neige has said in interviews that their future direction will lean towards the Shelter sound (or something to that extent) which is fine by me.
-
If you like Shelter I highly suggest you listen to Souvenirs d'un Autre Monde next.
Think i'll give it a whirl.

new song and it is amazing
welcome back screams
-
Not sure if amazing but a very good song
-
A nice return to form. Could have been a bit shorter but otherwise I like it a lot.
-
Awesome!! Maybe a bit long, agreed, but still a very nice song that reminds me so much of ecailles de lune
-
New song available on Spotify now Osieaux de proie. This one also seems more like the old Alcest.

Another great track!

Great song!!
-
Been absolutely obsessed with this band for the past year. I'm loving the new tracks and I cannot wait to get Kodama on the 30th. I loved the direction of Shelter, and didn't mind the absence of the screams. "Voix Serienes" is one of my favourite tracks from them. Looking forward to this new record big time.
-
With only 8 days removed from the release of the new album, how is everyone liking the singles so far? Oiseaux is growing on me a lot!

They are pretty solid! I really love the fact that the screams are back, they are one of the reason why Alcest have such a unique sound I think.

Really loving the title track. This album is gonna be fantastic for sure.

How are people liking the new album?
In my country only the singles are available on Spotify. :( Might go check if they have the album at my local record store on Monday, so hyped for this album and was planning to listen to it for the first time today but I guess I'll endure the wait for just a little longer now.

It's amazing. Totally blows Shelter out of the water, and even a lot of Les Voyages de L'Âme. It's the first time they've equalled Écailles de Lune imo, still their peak. Even the bonus track is amazing!
-
I've been rediscovering Alcest because I'll be seeing them together with Mono in two and a half weeks, and I have to say that I had forgotten how good Ecailles and Voyages were, and I'm also extremely impressed by Kodoma. Such a great album, Oiseaux de Proie might be my new favourite Alcest song. Neige is such a great vocalist. :heart
-
I don't understand this approach from a financial point of view to be honest, right now I'm being forced to listen to the album on youtube which probably has trash quality, and only has gotten just over 4.000 views over the past week. Spotify has such a great distribution network and allows for way more people to find out about their music and even though the percentage of the money that goes to the actual artist is basically nil, they are not getting any money from a youtube upload by some random dude either.
Of course they want people to buy the physical album, but that's pretty useless considering literally no record store in the vicinity has Kodama.
I sound like such a little bitch but this is one of my most anticipated albums of the year and it's a bit disappointing that I have to listen to it on youtube because I can't hold off much longer. :lol Anyway, I'm still on the title-track right now which I've heard before and it is still amazing, can't wait to hear the rest of the album.
-
The album won't be fully available in any streaming service until December 30, so that would be hell of a wait :lol Finland's Record Shop X actually doesn't have Kodama in stock either, it's delivery by demand only. You probably have to order online if you want a physical copy.

Don't usually get too excited for Alcest, but this is definitely a nice single. Some surprisingly heavy riffs and drumming in there, which I liked a lot.
-
Sounds good :tup
-
I didn't realize new Alcest was on the way. Exciting :metal

Icelandic darkwave trio KAELAN MIKLA has been tapped by Nuclear Blast recording artist Alcest to support the latter's Spiritual Instinct tour in early 2020. The tour will also include popular French band Birds in Row.
Starting in Audincourt, France on February 6th, the tour plays all major markets in the UK and Europe, ending one month later on March 6th.
About being tapped by Alcest, the band says, "[Alcest singer] Neige reached out to us and we heard he's a fan of Kælan Mikla, and we love Alcest, so this is a great honor and we are very excited to support Spiritual Instinct."
Hailing from Reykjavik, Iceland, Kælan Mikla is a uniquely thrilling band on the rise, marrying raw punk aggression, thumping beats, and a dark, fairy-tale vision specific to its native Iceland. The band's third album Nótt eftir nótt was released in 2018 on Artoffact Records, to wide acclaim. Noisey stated: "Nótt eftir nótt blends the mystical and euphoric with cold, hard synth and icy darkwave vibes; it's a digital ice sculpture, wrought in slick 'Blade Runner' tones and breathy, eerie vocals." Revolver called it, "searing post-punk/darkwave... It's a must for fans of dark music."
ABOUT KÆLAN MIKLA
KÆLAN MIKLA is an Icelandic dark-wave trio based in Reykjavik who was personally invited by Robert Smith of The Cure to perform at his curated Meltdown Festival in 2018, as well as his Pasadena Daydream Festival in 2019.. They recently completed a 30-date tour in Europe, in support of their Artoffact Records release Nótt eftir nótt. Nótt eftir nótt was a press favorite upon its release, making Revolver Magazine's best of 2018 list, and also garnering accolades from Cvlt Nation, Decibel Magazine, and The Wire, as well as a cover feature in Distorted Sound. The band was nominated for album of the year at the Iceland Music Awards.

(the new album came out)
-
It’s very good.
-
New album is really excellent. Definitely their best since Écailles De Lune, in my opinion. Could even be a contender for their best overall, but only time will tell that.
-
New album is pretty good but probably in the bottom half of their discography for me. Still, some good tracks!
-
Well this thread clearly needs a bump.
The next single, Flamme Jumelle, has just dropped.

This is the second single following my favourite of the two L'Envol, from the upcoming album Les Chants de l'Aurore, released June 21st.
Looking forward to this one.
-
The new songs sound great. L’Envol has such a good progression. It’s nicely arranged and I love those lyrics, they really fit the song well.
-
Releases on my son's birthday, that is cool. Very much looking forward to this. Listening to both right now, I know nothing can probably top how excellent Les Voyages De Lames is, so tempering my expectations, this already seems like it could be a top album for me this year.
