What actually concerns me more is the inclusion of Dragonforce.

Well, in her younger days, she had the power to bring on the boner of steel, I guess you could refer to her with a new term:  "Indirect Metal".

This, but I think she still looks pretty good.

I see that site is advertising American Indie as Vampire Weekend's album "Contra".

That album is amazing, ariich. You need to buy it right now.

Because Disturbed is metal. Incredibly bland metal, but metal nonetheless.

Nah, they're definitely nu-metal.

By definition, they are nu-metal. Nu-metal is essentially the idea of taking metal, and trying something different (i.e. turn tables, masks, etc.) and taking metal out of the norm. I'm not using nu-metal as an insult. I like one or two nu-metal bands (such as Soad).

It's still metal though. There's no reason to make the distinction; it's like saying Opeth isn't metal, it's progressive metal.

I feel that a lot of sense of the word gets lost without the descriptive words before it. I mean, yes, they are all metal. But they aren't all the same kind of metal.

Right. I mean there's silver, and Iron, and Platinum, and steel alloy, they all have different chemical and/or physical properties.

That actually makes for a good analogy.

Nu-Metal is not metal. That's like saying metal is blues. Just because it has some elements of it doesn't make it the same genre.

Care to come up with a legitimate response instead of letting a puppet answer for you?

Care to come up with a legitimate response instead of letting a puppet answer for you?

But the puppet works so well!

Eh, I really don't care, but it seems like your splitting hairs here.
Granted, I feel like a lot of sub-genres and sub-sub-sub-sub-genres are really just split hairs at this point. All the types of rock, -core, metal, nu-, banana, pinecone, etc are all just watered-down versions of what was once like 2 different genres of music: jazz and blues.

If you say so, I'll take your word for it. But, when I hear Linkin Park, Slipknot, Disturbed, etc I hear metal.

Nu-metal is quite obviously a sub-genre of metal. To say otherwise is ridiculous.

Well, in her younger days, she had the power to bring on the boner of steel, I guess you could refer to her with a new term:  "Indirect Metal".

You kids today are spoiled by the ridiculously high quality trim you find in adult media.  They are (though I don't mind at all) 95% plastic and have left you with no ability to appreciate classic chicks like her, who aren't all 100% retouched by the latest and greatest Photoshop artist.  Sorry you were disappointed.   :sadpanda:

EDIT:  I see what you mean.  A quick GIS reveals a lot of pictures of her in later years.  The younger Dolly was bangin'.  Plus, if you are unfamiliar, she's got ridiculously huge jugs.  Those and country music are what she's known for.

That kind of stuff sucks and I never watch it, don't you worry. You may not mind at all, but I hate that kind of thing.

Two big strikes against her. Yeah, that's right.
