Forty six and two, Anesthetize
-
I have a reasonable amount of self-control, so none. :P
-
The whole Images and Words and Awake.
V: The New Mythology Suite.
Orchid.
Remedy Lane except for the last three songs.
And a lot more.
-
None, I've never gotten sick of a song, and I listen to songs over, and over and over and over again. I can't think of any that I've been sickened by, if I love them enough to play them on repeat then chances are, they'll never die for me, even if I have a little break from a band for a while then return to them. My top 10 tracks on last.fm all have 400-1k+ plays each and I still sit and listen to them regularly.
-
Never happens to me in a larger scale, there are temporary moments but then I just don't listen to it for a while. But then, I almost never listen to songs on repeat, and if I do it's never more than x3.
-
I'm constantly variating my listening patterns. It rarely happens nowadays.
-
I overplayed The Root of all Evil but took a looooooooong break and I love it again, since then I've not overplayed anything.
-
I think every new cd I get gets to the point of overplaying it so I don't play them for a while and it seems fresh again.

Whaaaaaaaaaat‽
I have 121 on my top, then 93 going gradually down.
-
All of Tool pretty much, I think the way the albums are produced adds to me not wanting to listen anymore.

This is me. I tend to listen to an album for as long as I enjoy it, then if I feel like listening to something else, I do. I tend to listen to two or three different bands/albums on a daily basis, and from day-to-day there might be one or two of the same albums, but I don't think I ever get tired of them to the point of over-playing. I get into long period of one band, and since the beginning/middle of May, it's been Spock's Beard, so I've slowly played all of their works (studio and live) over the course of the last 7-9 weeks... but still not tired of any of them!

I rarely give any album a consecutive repeat, and I make sure to vary what I listen to, so it doesn't really happen to me. I know lots of people that just listen to things over and over, and I never really understood that.
-
A lot of Aerosmith, namely "S.O.S.". Maybe Tom Sawyer, although I still love that song, it just lost a lot of its edge since I've listened to that song over 330 times according to last.fm.
-
It should happen to me much more than it does based on my LastFM, but I find that familiarity with music makes me enjoy it even more. So, only some Metallica, Tool and DT songs, and The Drapery Falls, and fast approaching Bleak.
-
Number of the Beast and Run to the Hills, because I was in a Maiden tribute band. :P
Hallowed Be Thy Name is still awesome though, which just shows how strong it is. :tup

Absolutely this. :tup

As I Am, A Rite of Passage, Constant Motion.
-
There was a period for about two or three years where I couldn't listen to SFAM at all.

The whole Images and Words and Awake.
This, and In Absentia.
-
For me it would be a lot of cover songs my band over played too much in bars and clubs. If I sing a song way too many times, I kind of start not liking it. In a band I had less control over this then when I choose what CD's I want to listen too. I try not to overplay stuff when I'm in control.
I sang Dreamline from Rush so many times I can't stand the song anymore, and I'm a huge Rush fan. When Rush plays that song live I don't enjoy hearing it.

Very easily...

:o
My highest is 107 and that's also in a few years.
-
I tend to do this a lot. The current victim is Maybe I'm Amazed by Wings.

It depends on your listening habits though. I listen to a massive variety of music as I have a huge collection, plus I almost always listen to albums, rather than individual songs. Thus my highest last.fm entry for an individual song will obviously not be that high.
-
They aren't even on my iTunes or anything, so fortunately I never have to listen to them, but ACDC. I plan to kill a cute puppy everytime I hear Back in Black from this point on.
-
My most-listened is 'Throwing a Donner Party at Sea' by Giant Squid with only 36 plays :lol
Of course, I've only had a last.fm for 6 months.
-
I've never overplayed something to the point of not enjoying it anymore.
I might not enjoy it quite as much, perhaps, and I might feel less inclined to put it on quite as often as other stuff.
-
I was gonna come in and say Metropolis pt 1. But then I realised I've listened to it hundreds of times and it still melts balls.

Considering how much I've listened to it I thought I would be the same. But no, it's still one of my very favourite albums ever.
-
I just really burnt myself out on it. I can still tolerate it, but it just doesn't excite me the way it did at the start.

That... except maybe Free Bird.

Karma Police.

most of the music that has been in my library for more than 10 years...I still listen to them, but they have lost their touch. for example, rush (free will and spirit of radio) were played on the radio so much over the years, plus they have been in my library.
