From June - September, tell us who you've got tickets to go see, or perhaps plan on seeing.
Here's my roll:
*Iron Maiden/Dream Theater
*TOOL
*Slaughter
*Scorpions/Cinderella
*Rush
Alice in Chains/Deftones/Mastodon (if a date -- which is likely -- is in my area)
Soundgarden (when a tour is finally announced)
*Slayer/Megadeth/Testament
Disturbed/Avenged Sevenfold/Stone Sour/Halestorm
*Nevermore
* - tickets purchased
Disturbed/A7X/SS/Halestorm is an ABSOLUTE, but tix are not on sale yet. SG and AiC/Deftones/Mastodon are also absolutes, if and when shows are announced (AiC has an open week to play near me, but we'll see if something is scheduled).
>>>So, what are your shows? Oh, and yes, I AM broke after all of these. :lol
-
So far, just Rush, although I am still hoping I can snag good seats at the last minute for the Dave Matthews Band concert next month.
-
DT/Maiden, Rush, Yes
-
It seems in the US that it's a common thing to have big bands touring with other big bands, almost like package tours, rather than the bands touring so much individually. Interesting...I'd love to see the Blackdiamondskye thing.
From June to September I am seeing:
*The Haunted (confirmed)
*Sucioperro (confirmed - think I'm even on the pestlist ;D)
*Latitudes (free show)
*People In Planes
*Garcia Plays Kyuss
*2000 Trees Festival (confirmed - ft. Frank Turner, Future of the Left, 65daysofstatic, Twin Atlantic)
*Funeral For A Friend (confirmed)
*Rhythms Of The World Festival (ft. eaststrikewest, Latitutdes, Shoes & Socks Off, The Xcerts)
*Shoes & Socks Off
*Sonisphere Festival Knebworth (possible but looking less likely now - ft. Iron Maiden, Karnivool, Katatonia, Alice In Chains)
*They Will Destroy You
*Dark Tranquillity (confirmed - w/Insomnium)
-
Possibly Fates Warning, Rush three times, Iron Maiden and Dream Theater twice, and Porcupine Tree at RCMH.
-
Iron Maiden/DT
Rush
Fates Warning
ACL Fest (although for no reason in particular except that I already have a 3-day pass)
and possibly the Queensryche Train Wreck...err..I mean..Cabaret show.
-
Between the Buried and Me and I think that's about it.
-
DT/Maiden
Rush
-
Umphrey's McGee in Raleigh and Rush in Atlanta.
-
DT at the Paladium and Rush at the Boston Garden.
-
The only one I'm sure about right now is John Mayer.
-
Seeing Mustasch on thursday, 4th time seeing them. =D
-
Nothing :sadpanda:
-
I see a bunch of us going to Rush. I wish I was. I had planned on it, but my "local" show is on a Monday night, about 2.5 hours from the house. So no dice. Strange, because while I absolutely see why they are playing the venue they are, they usually play two other amphitheaters which are much more do-able, driving-wise (1 hour, 15 for one, 30 minutes for the other).
Bah. Maybe next year.
-
Charred Walls of the Damned / DT at the Palladium - tix already bought
DT / Iron Maiden at MSG - tix already bought
Rush - REALLY want to see, depends on whether I can drag a friend and date of show.
Being located in the middle of nowhere makes concert going somewhat phohibitive.
-
Pearl Jam the day after my GCSEs finish. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeees.

Pearl Jam the day after my GCSEs finish. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeees.
I was going to go to that but:
1. It's at Hyde Park and the sound is crap there so I've heard
2. All the other bands on the bill are bands I'm not interested so spending £50 on it isn't really feasible for me
3. They were so awesome at the O2 last year anyway that I've enough good memories to wait until next time they come over

My bubble is delicate, please do not damage it further.
-
Primal Fear (was two days ago)
Fear Factory/Prong
Danzig
Dream Theater/Charred Walls
Slayer/Megadeth/Testament
Nevermore/Warbringer
Exodus
Kamelot
Possibly KISS if I can afford it.

Ooops, sorry, sure it'll be awesome. I mean it will be great I'm sure, just explaining why I didn't go.
-
I currently have tickets for:
Zappa Plays Zappa (fourth time seeing them in the past year :metal)
Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young (my first Red Rocks concert :D)
Tool (my second Red Rocks concert :D :D)
Considering DT and Maiden because there are still tickets but just not sure if it's worth it (especially if nobody comes with me) :|
That's all June... don't have any plans for the rest of the summer, except my friends' band Blue Food (https://www.bluefood.com/) is playing at the Bowery Poetry Club and Arlene's Grocery in July and August. And if I end up in New Orleans, there will be at least one badass brass band show :hat

Haha don't worry, those are all perfectly good reasons but it was a good chance to see my cousin and celebrate the end of exams. I'd probably agree with you on normal circumstances, but having not seen them I'm worried I might not get the chance again.
Also annoyingly, my family's going on holiday coincides with that festival where Transatlantic and Opeth are playing.
-
16th June: Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax (+ Mastodon and Behemoth)
17th July: Porcupine Tree
11th September: Anathema, Ozric Tentacles, Airbag, Votum (it's Anathema and Votum I'm the most interested in, I don't know the two other bands other than just the name, but will also see them)
-

Have you heard something? :-\

Nah, I'm just really paranoid about this kind of stuff as because I'm fairly young I'm only just getting into bands as they're at the end of, or nearing the end of, their career so I jump at the chance to see them. Eg Metallica, Tool, DT (maybe not DT actually...) Springsteen etc. Although how much longer could Pearl Jam have in them really? Actually probably quite a bit... [/rambling]

Gojira

Sonata Artica
Gorgoroth

And loads of others, and a Friday headliner to be announced still. It's going to be utterly epic! Also the Friday is a 13th, and they're having a halloween costume competition. :lol I'm thinking of going as Ziltoid! Indeeeeeed....
:2metal:

On 27th August in Katowice (which is where I live... I'm just 10 km away from the town centre), in Spodek (the biggest venue), they're organising the Metal Hammer Festival this year. The headliner is going to be KoRn, so I'm not interested - I'll see how they do live, but I could barely stand them in studio, so I don't expect wonders. But out of five remaining bands, three are already confirmed. These bands are...
Opeth.
Katatonia.
Riverside.
I reached something between a mental orgasm and euphoria when I saw this. :caffeine: :caffeine: :caffeine: :caffeine: :caffeine: :caffeine: :caffeine: :caffeine: :caffeine: :caffeine: :caffeine:

Awesome! I'd go there for Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, and Them Crooked Vultures. Which festival is that again? I remember hearing about it and being wowed by the act list.

On the fence about adding Montrose to the list. Montrose is playing by me fairly soon. Need to decide...
