Title: Mullmuzzler
Post by: Genowyn on April 09, 2010, 12:25:55 AM
Is Mullmuzzler worth checking out? I have Elements of Persuasion and like it a lot, so I'm wondering if Mullmuzzler is something I should look into.

I would say it's worth checking out. You get some really nice songs, but I'd say its "lighter" than Elements.

Yes, the first one is awesome. He has some of his best vocals in Shores of Avalon and As a Man Thinks.

Haven't heard the first one, but I have the second one and really like it. Really allows James to show his vocal skills, and there are some really nice more straightforward songs like Tell Me.

I liked them back when they first came out. Haven't listened to them in years though.

Yeah, if you're into Elements of Persuasion then they're definitely worth checking out. James sounds great on both of them, and the music's pretty sweet, too.

Aye. Some of the songs are a bit dull, but there's some really cool stuff, too. Venice Burning, Confronting the Devil, Shores of Avalon, As a Man Thinks, Guardian Angel are all worth checking out. Particularly Shores of Avalon.

The production on the first Mullmuzzler is a bit dodgy I found (or mabye it's just my copy) but the material itself is great, the second one I'm not too fussed on, but thats just because of personal taste and I can easily see why people like it  :P

but EOP is the best them  :metal  :metal  :metal

Keep in mind that the Mullmuzzler series is much more proggy and less metal than EoP.

Again, haven't heard Elements of Persuasion, but except for maybe two-three songs, Mullmuzzler 2 felt rather straightforward heavy metal to me.

EOP is heavy as fuck. Mullmuzzler 2 is awesome. Haven't heard the first.
