Same. wasn't it the last Vinyl album they did until S&A?

Last North American vinyl albums most likely. I know you can get vinyl pressings of the albums between those, but they are usually Brazilian, Korean, or some other foreign pressing and VERY hard to find.

The only ones I don't have on vinyl are Test For Echo (probably not pressed), Different Stages, Rush In Rio, R30, and Snakes and Arrows Live (all definately not pressed). The only "best of" compilation that was ever released on vinyl is 3 LP Chronicles (which is pretty rare).

Presto is uncommon (because CDs were becoming more mainstream and the music industry wanted to kill vinyl off) and it is was the last North American pressing until Vapor Trails. Roll The Bones and Counterparts are the hardest to find.

I figure I really don't need to keep a lot of the exact same extra vinyl copies hanging around anymore.

what are the promotional tshirts in the box?

Sorry, that should have been made more clear. The two shirts are Grip, Inc and the late Danny Federici (Bruce Springsteen) as described below:

Promotional T-Shirts. Shirts have never been worn and were stored in a cardboard box for about 10 years:

GRIP, INC - The Power Of Inner Strength Band logo on top left of front and Band photo on back with Metal Blade Records logo (Black Shirt Large Pre-Shrunk 100% cotton Murina Made in USA) $5

Stupid question, but what's an album flat? If it's what I think it is, I'll definitely get the Awake one.

An album flat is a 12 inch by 12 inch piece of thin cardboard stock with album art on the front and more art or a band picture on the back.

It's probably too much to hope that it comes with a frame, eh?

Considering a 12x12 frame would cost you at least 6 or 7 bucks, I highly doubt it.

Anyway, depending on how much work I get over the next few weeks, you might be getting another infusion of cash from me Ytse, we shall see a bit later in the summer. :)

Well I mean you're not going to get a nice great frame for that price, but you'll get something cheap from Wal-Mart for that.

Or do you have another one?

Yes, thank you.

I'm disorganized. My press kit collection spilled into two different binders and I just the other one. I'd like to pare it down to one.

This one, with the bio folded in half, was in the other binder. This is my last Six Degrees extra press kit. I 've decided I don't need more than one.

PM sent.

I did more cleaning this weekend and found some extra copies of the Dream Theater International Fan Club's Theater of Dreams fanzine.

Issues 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25 are available. $20 for all six (No fanclub CDs included) The full-color fanzines have exclusive in-depth period interviews and detailed information with graphic design and photos from the years 2000, 2001 and 2002.  Likely invaluable for those who have become rabid fans during the Roadrunner years.

I'd prefer to sell them as a set, but I'll break them up at $4 each if you'r looking to fill out a collection.

I'll also provide more specific information of individual fanzines if interested.

ytserush - This is a little off topic, but does your All The Worlds A Stage vinyl go sides 1 and 4 on one record, and 2 and 3 on the other? I was just listening through and didn't look at the labels... played side one fine... flip it over, and Working Man starts. Very strange, I was wondering if you knew if this is only on some prints or if they are all like this?

I'm pretty sure they are all like that.

I think this was done because they used to make turntables back then that you could pile records on the stem of the turntable (which was tall enough to hold a bunch of records) and when the side finished another record would drop on top of it to keep the music going.

So, for All The World's A Stage, you could listen to both side A and B before you would need to flip over C and D.

You are probably in a better position than I am right now to check on it, but I'm going to guess that most double and triple albums through to the late '70s are arranged like this.

Yeah, Ytse's explanation there is pretty much spot on. And for the record my vinyl of that album is also that way.

Thanks, that's interesting, I never heard of that before. All the vinyls I have that are double albums from the 70s have the normal 1/2 3/4 siding (Elton John - Blue Moves, Fleetwood Mac - Tusk, Fleetwood Mac - Live, and I think Aerosmith - Live Bootleg)

More cleaning...

This is a continuation of the Theater of Dreams fanzines I'm parting with above. The fan club went to the larger "magazine-style" size (A4) with these eight issues and they are bigger (page count ranges from 35 to 63 each), more professionally done and have more packed in them. (Studio diaries, reviews, side projects, exclusive interviews, setlists and a ton more stuff).

This time there are eight issues (covering 2002 to 2005) 26, 27/28 (Double Issue),29,30,31,32,33/34 (Double Issue) and 35/36(Double and FINAL Issue of Theater Of Dreams) $45 for all eight (No CDs included).

Again, I'd prefer to sell them as a set, but I'll listen to individual offers or trades, etc.

If you want both sets (The last 14 issues that Theater Of Dreams ever printed.) I'll let them go for $50 even ($15 off. Shipping in the US is FREE. I probably shouldn't do that because I'm sure the shipping weight is up there somewhere but I just did).

Also, I've decided to part a Gold Stamped Promo of Vapor Tails $15 ($25 with the Limited Edition Lithograph included)

I don't know what's more impressive: the massive list of stuff you have, or the fact that you've posted 13 times in a row.

Something to ponder for sure, but I'm going with 13 in a row......

And why do you have unopened John Coltrane albums??

Because I bought them only to find that I already had them. I suppose part of it is I don't listen to those particular ones as much as say Live In Seattle, A Love Supreme, Blue Train, Interstellar Space, Live At The Half Note, Mediations or some others.

Buying stuff I already have doesn't happen nearly as much as it used to as I now default to DON'T buy if I'm not sure. It beats getting them home and cursing myself that it was sitting on the shelf the whole time.

How much for the vinyl of Hemispheres?

Would that be for the US vinyl copy, the Candaian Anthem copy, or the Red vinyl?

I wish.

If I did, I wouldn't need to spend the time (and money) searching record shows and stores collecting (and enjoying) music.

Not collecting as much as I used to. Or I should say narrowing the focus of collecting these days. Just trying to keep it under control.

Well what are the prices and differences between them?

Well, the red vinyl is $20, the Canadian Anthem pressing is $12 and the US pressing is $8. All of them have the gatefold lp jackets which were dropped when Hemispheres was reissued with the black border (frame?) around the cover.

Shall I PM you rather than bore DTF with boring trivial details?

I'm also in the process of going through my Rush and Dream Theater (promo and tour) posters to decide which ones I now longer feel the need to have.

Dibs on any Awake ones.

I decided I'm keeping the posters from When Dream And Day Unite, Images and Words and Awake...sorry. (I looked at them for a few just to make sure)

I think I might still have an album flat lying around somewhere, but you might already have one of those.

I have decided to part with a few promo posters from the Rush ReplayX3 DVD box which included the DVDs from Exit...Stage Left, Grace Under Pressure Tour and A Show Of Hands. I want to do some research to figure out what to price them at (very reasonably as usual) and I still have to do more digging in the closet for more posters that I'm willing to let go.

Actually, I don't. I was going to buy one off of you but then I had to opt out for reasons I no longer remember.

Do you have any Six Degrees promo/tour posters available?  Or album flats for that matter?  Let me know, I'd be interested...also would be interested in Scenes posters.

I have them (no flats other than what's out there ) but I still need to decide if I still want to keep them. I should have more time to go digging in the closet this weekend.

I dumping a copy of my Moving Pictures Deluxe edition 2CD set

I found a sealed copy recently with the barcode gouged out and I opened the wraping hoping to find a promo marking on it somewhere but there wasn't so I don't need it.

I paid $15 but I just opened it so that's a $2 hit isn't it.

So that's $13 shipped in the US if you still don't have this.

I got a a non-promo myself at the same time which I suppose I'm now keeping although I'm relatively unimpressed with it.

This is the regular 5.1 surround (no blu-ray).

Kinda hate to do this:

Rush -- Power Windows (Very rare Gold Stamped US Promo only VINYL) $50

I'll also throw in a Power Windows album flat (not sure which is more rare - the flat or the promo album.)

I'm parting with another poster.

This time it's a Dream Theater Falling Into Infinity German Tour Poster (24X36) with album art. It says Vanden Plas was the opener $20

Pics will be emailed if needed.

For some reason, I had an extra of this:

Oysterhead (Or what you would get if Stewart Copeland Trey Anastasio and Les Claypool made and album because that's what they did) $5
