The film releases on October 6 in theaters.

Action looks good.
That’s about it.

Same, I'm getting Venom 2/Morbius vibes from some of this, and not in the good ways either. Hopefully Sony can not do what Sony does and mess this up. If it's even as good as the first Venom, I'll be happy, but so far, it doesn't look like it'll be the worst comic book movie of the year.

I don't give a wet fart about this film.

At least most Spider-Man fans know who Kraven is. Many have never heard of El Muerto, yet somehow Sony is making a movie about him starring Bad Bunny, who isn't also very well known by Spider-Man fans/people in general. :lol
These Spider-Man adjacent films have got to stop, especially if they don't even feature the webslinger himself!

I will probably end up seeing this, assuming I'm still doing the unlimited movies deal at my local theater come the fall. Would be a struggle to drop $15 on a ticket though.

Chris Evans played Johnny in those two FF movies then obviously Cap later on. Josh Brolin played Thanos and Cable.
-
That's right. Still no 2 MCU movies that one actor played two characters.
-
Gemma Chan played Cersei in Eternals and Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel. 2 forgettable movies.
-
That's right!! Thank you!

Met pointed out Gemma Chan. If you count the Netflix shows, Alfre Woodard played someone in Luke Cage and someone else in Civil War, Mahershala Ali played someone in Luke Cage and will play Blade. Michelle Yeoh played different characters in Guardians 2 and Shang Chi, Djimon Hounsou played different characters in Captain Marvel and Guardians.
That's not counting the numerous actors who also played CG or heavy make up characters too.
-
There's also the case of descendants playing themselves, like Peter Parker's principal playing the grandson of his Howling Commando grandfather from The First Avenger.

I haven't seen either Venom film, and certainly not Morbius. This one does look a little better than those, to my eyes, but a Spider-Man villain film without a Spider-Man is just ridiculous.

They also made him an anti-hero. He is trying to save things, just by brutally killing bad guys.
I did read that maybe Russell Crow is playing the classic Kraven. Who knows? It's all odd.

If it's Sony-created, Spidey-related, and non-animated, I am not captivated.

You'd think they would've learned by now that the only good Marvel films Sony has made has had the name "Spider-Man" in the title. Heck, I'd probably rather watch Spider-Man 3 (Tobey) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (Andrew) more than any of the non-Spider-Man films they've released so far.
Sony's best Marvel films have been the first two Tobey Spider-Man Films, Tom's No Way Home (and maybe Homecoming, Keaton was FANTASTIC), and the two Spider-Verse animated films. That's it - four or maybe five out of the 13 they've made so far, and it looks like the SSU (Sony's Spider-Man Universe) has three more films coming out next year, none of which feature a known Spider-Man (though we finally get other Spider-People in the Madame Web film).
My biggest worry is that they'll throw in a nonsensical credits scene at the end of Kraven that will ruin the whole film like they did with Morbius (not that the credit scene ruined the film that preceded it, it was already bad as it was).

Besides the ones that have been mentioned, Laura Haddock was in the first Captain America (asking Cap for an autograph) and also played Peter's mom in Guardians.
One that I don't know if it counts, is Benedict Cumberbatch, obvious character being Dr. Strange and also Dormammu (CGI though).

Óscar Isaac played 3 characters on Moon Knight (Mar Spector / Mr. Knight / Steven Grant)
He also played Apocalipsis on X-Men: Apocalipsis
He was also Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099 in Sony Pictures' most recent movie
Ryan Reynolds has also played three Marvel roles in the form of Hannibal King in Blade: Trinity, and Wade Wilson and Juggernaut in the Deadpool movies.
Michael B. Jordan: Human Torch & Killmonger
Hailee Steinfeld: Gwen Stacy & Kate Bishop
Jon Favreau: Foggy Nelson & Happy Hogan
Evan Peters: Quicksilver & Ralph Bohner

I mean, if we're counting voice-over roles from the Spider-Verse films, there's a LOT of actors in there that have been other Marvel characters, including the two you've already mentioned, like Daniel Kaluuya, who was Hobie Brown/Spider-Punk and W'Kabi in Black Panther. There's also Brian Tyree Henry, who voiced Miles' dad Jefferson and was also Phastos in Eternals. Karan Soni voiced Pavitr Prabhakar/Spider-Man India and was also Dopinder in the Deadpool films. And the aforementioned Mahershala Ali also voiced Aaron Davis, Miles' uncle.

Djimon Hounsou played different characters in Captain Marvel and Guardians.
I'm pretty sure that's the same character, Korath.

Correct! I have no idea why I was certain they were different characters.

Hounsou did play at least two different characters in the DCEU (in SHAZAM and Aquaman), so he's definitely gotten around as far as comic book movies go.

The role in Aquaman was just the voice, if that counts for anything.

Tony Curran has now played 3 characters in the MCU.
Bor in Thor: The Dark World
Finn Cooley in Daredevil (I’m counting it as canon)
and Derrik in Secret Invasion
-
Russell Crowe was played Thor's Father will play Kraven's father and he played Superman's father, can we call him daddy?

He played Zeus. Not Odin.
But he’s basically daddy. Not one I’d want, though.
-
And he’s Javert.
Do not forget his name.
Do not forget him.

Who? *googles* Oh, Van Gogh from that episode of Doctor Who! I like him.
