I am getting a "password incorrect" error.
T-Ski's Pick-ski[e]s got in, so it has to be something on your end.
-
I'm getting it too. I'll keep trying.
-
I went through the email invite.
-
It won't show me the password so I can't see if it's buggered. I just changed it with the text copied from here, so that should do it. Try again.
-
Worked ok for me.
-
OK, I'm in.

The NFL Pick 'em thread makes me feel like Leonard in Memento. I constantly have to be reminded I actually won this one year.

In on the first try.

Been on a Fantasy break for a few years. This seems like a nice easy thing that won't jack up my OCD too bad. I used to do these as a kid for my Dad's work.
I'm in.
-
Changed a bunch of picks this morning. Some were the right change, some not. Probably all evened out in the end.
-
I spent all of about a minute on mine. Went with first instinct. Hit 5 out of my 6 underdog picks which made a difference for me. Thing is, when I made the picks I did not view them as underdogs. Either way, decent week 1 for me so far.

This is what's known as lulling people into a false sense of security. I have you all right where I want you.

No worries here, man. When it comes to this kind of stuff, insecure is my middle name. It's one of the reasons I quit regular Fantasy Football. The stress was just too much for me. I'm too competitive. Heck, I was dropping back into bad habits again already. Stressing over scores and frantically watching them. Now just imagine that when you have a roster of players you are worried about. Still, this is more tolerable to me.
Next week you'll probably overtake me. That's how my luck works.
-
I don't even follow the NFL that much these days, but I totally agonize over my picks and check scores way too often throughout the day.
-
First, el barto, thank you once again for organizing this.
I never win, but am generally within 4-8 games of you at the end of the season. I am proud of that.
I was traveling, and had to sign in via phone on Thursday around 5pm. What a pain, but I got in. A busy Sunday, my wife and I get back to the hotel room around 8pm CST, I see the scores, and I'm like, 'oh, crap, I lost a bunch, but at least I got in.'
I get home last night before my Ravens play (I took LV), and see I did alright. Ten total for the week, and only one game back. In surprisingly good shape early for this marathon.
For those who might feel bad, here's how odd the Week 1 results were:

It's 9:15am on Sunday and I just changed 4 picks. God help me!
-
I should've changed at least that many. 5-5 through the first 10. I need the afternoon games to pick me up.
-
Pretty fired up for that game last night. I know we all took the loss, but it was worth it.

Picking Detroit almost paid off for me. But if it takes a missed delay of game penalty and a historical kick to lose, I can live with that.
-
Fan-TASTIC weekend of football, even if my personal picks aren't where they should be. LOVED that Green Bay won, LOVED that the Chargers won (though I didn't have the courage to pick it), LOVED that the Raiders won, LOVED that the Rams won...
I would've liked to have New England win, but that wasn't in the cards; I think ultimately they will be good.
I saw a stat that teams that are 2-1 have a 54% chance of making the playoffs, and teams that are 1-2 have a 25% chance of making the playoffs.

Mister Erratic reviewing my picks for the season.....
Week 1, one off the lead
Week 2, fewest correct
Week 3, tied for most correct
Week 4, one above the fewest correct
Week 5, tied for most correct
Week 6, hoping the pattern changes
-
My second best winning percentage ever for a week. Would have been fun to curse Miami's 4th down fail as my only loss, but then the Bills 'slipped' last night.
-
I've yet to be the high scorer on a given week, but I've avoided having a bad week so far, which has kept me in the running.
Can't believe I'm the only one that was in on Jacksonville in London. They seem to be a different team over there. Then again, I won't fault anyone for not wanting to put their chips in on Urban Meyer.

I rarely second-guess my picks. My strategy is pretty clear to any that want to look - slow and steady wins the race - but I'm not averse to a little risk now and again. I didn't regret the NE pick this week - I really felt they were going to win that game - but I waffled on the Jacksonville pick. I have a rule: never second-guess, unless there is something material in play (star QB ruled out kind of thing) and so I initially didn't pick Jax, but I felt they had a chance on neutral ground like that and I do regret not pulling the trigger.
I'll hit my stride - I almost always do - but this has not been a great season so far; I'm usually middle of the pack at this point and am not happy where I sit right now.
-
I started strong and am slowly going the wrong direction. I forgot there was a morning game on Sunday. Doesn't matter as I would have picked it wrong anyway.

I wish I picked that KC/Tennessee game; enough people picked it so that it wasn't a Hail Mary guess, but I didn't bite.
-
I find it funny that I continue to fall down the standings, yet creep closer to 1st. Only 3 out, and Dave caught up with me. He is playing the long game. :lol

In my five years of doing this, it is the latest that I have been in first place. Hell, I don't even know if I've been in this position at Week 3. :D
Then again, I'm only four games away from being in 10th place. I'll enjoy this while I can.

Wow 5 points separate 1st and 9th place. I recall there usually being more separation by this point in the season.

Don't count me out yet. I can promise you I won't finish in last place (even "last place among those still trying").
-
As a group, I believe this was one of the five worst performances we've had in the five years I've been participating. As the scores came in, I knew I was going to have a bad week. But so did most of us. Just glad this doesn't involve point spreads (and that I don't bet).

So glad I flipped my pick from Arizona to San Francisco after Murray and Hopkins were ruled out.

So glad I flipped my pick from Arizona to San Francisco after Murray and Hopkins were ruled out.
I made 2 last minute (LITERALLY last minute) switches on the sage advice of those numbskulls at the Winners and Whiners website: I changed KC to GB and the Cardinals to the 49ers. Both are currently getting their asses neatly gift-wrapped and handed to them. I never learn. Every damn time I go against my instincts and trust their allegedly 'informed' judgement I end up losing.
-

Yeah, tell me about it.
I think it's payback for Dallas last week. I honestly had no idea Dak wasn't playing, just like I suspect everybody else who took Dallas was, and the Cowboys bailed us out. I wonder if the people who stuck with the Cards were similarly out of the loop.
-

I value their insight, but have zero qualms about going against them. I won't think twice about ignoring their predictions. I think it says a lot that they don't tell you what their own records are on the year. (Not to mention the sloppiness of their writing and lack of any editing whatsoever.)
-
Yep. I flipped my Hou/Mia and Ari/SF picks after hearing about them this morning. Both cost me points.
My journey to the bottom continues on after my excellent start.

This; I STEADFASTLY do not switch picks. The one or two times a scratch or change would help me is far outweighed by the number of times it turns out badly.
-
I never over think it.
I login Wednesday night, make my picks in less than two minutes, and unless I hear about something such as Rodgers missing a game, I never flip a pick.
-
All of us lost 4 games this past week, and were 3 picks away from losing 6. And we all nearly lost that Pitt/Chi game.

I spend at most 5 minutes entering my picks before Wednesday - so I don't forget the Thursday game. Then Saturday I do a sanity check and see if my picks still makes sense, and to account for last minute injuries, etc... Sometimes I scan the "experts" picks just to see if I am way off base anywhere.
-
^
99% this. I think I've made two changes from my initial picks all year, and regret perhaps two non changes, so my record is basically what it should be. The week I went 13-2 could easily have been 8-7, and last week's 7-7 could easily have been 10-4.
Wish I could tally up the weekly performances by simply copying/pasting onto a spreadsheet, but the formatting doesn't hold. I did a brief 'in my head' for Week 1, and our combined record was 87-89. Week 8 was a surprisingly good overall 83-67, this past week 70-70. For the season, we're all on par with the 'experts' at The Baltimore Sun :tup
-
Well, it's nice to see my prediction of Dave catching up with me coming to fruition. At least I was right about something. Been bitten by some bad games.
I have been making my picks toward the end of the Monday night game. Then I usually scan them again on Sunday morning. I have been burned by changes I wanted to make, but didn't, and by changes that made sense based on injury reports and such, only to get burned. Not sure how well that balanced me out, but it still sucks.
-

I took Arizona earlier in the week. When Murray and Hopkins were ruled out today, I was like not today Satan....I learned from last week.

WTF
-
As a Baltimore fan, and having suffered through the debacle at Miami, I did a first: switched my pick less than an hour before kickoff for the first time in five years due to Lamar's illness (dumb sh*t...your immune system has been lowered due to Covid 2x, wear a mask around strangers like you did in Louisville). That said, thanks to Wink doing Cover Zero with only one experienced DB and almost getting burned two plays before, Andy Dalton throws yet another 4th down dagger into the heart of Raven land.
But....I'm going to be proven correct on my pick. But....daBears being daBears, and Nagy screwing the pooch a couple of times with his other 4th down calls, Huntley leads Charm City to the winning score.
Man, overall, we be bad picking winners lately, eh?
-
I left town Thursday for 4 days and didn't do my normal Saturday Sanity Check. Though looking at them now, I am not sure what I would have changed. I even forgot who I picked for some of the games.
-
Hey, wow! I changed my LV/Dal pick this morning after they reported that Lamb was ruled out. After how bad Dallas was last week with no Cooper and Lamb getting hurt, it felt right. Turns out, I'm the only one that thought that. Every expert this morning picked Dallas to win even with the injury news.
Hurray for small victories.
-
That was a good pick. I thought about it, but couldn't pull the trigger. Too many emotions (I LOVE the Raiders, and I HATE Dallas) plus I did the "last minute go with Vegas" thing last week and it didn't work out. No balls, I guess.
-
Crap did I just have an awful weekend.
-
So I'm slowly climbing out of the cellar, but after my disasterous Jax pick I decided to go back and look at the picks I've made that go against my "system" or "instincts", and I'm 3-8. That, to me, is just discipline. Had I stuck to my guns and not tried to get "cute", I'd have 110 points and be in a dogfight for second place.
Let that be a lesson, kids. Don't get cute.

Ugh. I can accept being wrong; I get it. But when it's a matter of discipline, and I should have known better, it gnaws at me. I should have 111 points. I'm not talking about "oh, I should have picked the Giants over the Eagles"; I'm talking "I should have stuck to my process". 111 points.
-
For unsound reasons (a very non-scientific theory of mine about when teams break their losing streaks, developed over decades of watching English soccer), I had picked Detroit this week. Every aspect of my 'theory' was in place, all the necessary circumstances were aligned, and I told myself, "Self, this has a Detroit victory written all over it". So Thursday night, I checked 'Detroit'.
But then 10 minutes before kick-off today I decided that now was not the time to be taking risks. "Stick with the form guide, " I told myself. "You'll kick yourself if you lose a point based on a half-baked method that wasn't even created with this sport in mind". So with a full 3 minutes to spare, I switched from Detroit to the Vikings.
And sure enough Detroit went and won.
Bah, humbug.
-
I had the exact opposite experience; I stuck to the plan, after six straight losses when I deviated. I knew in my heart New England was going to win that game, and I didn't have the nuggets to make the change. Ah well.

Seeing the highlights, that was one of the worst 'prevent (a win)' defenses I've ever seen. And on the winning TD, the DBs were five yards deep in the endzone. All in all, this has just been a weird year.
-
I haven’t had my “bad week” yet, hopefully it doesn’t happen.
-
Yep. Happened again. "Self, this right here is a 9ers victory". So I checked SF on Thursday. 10 minutes from kick-off today I switched to the favoured Bengals. Bengals lost in overtime.
My own personal anguish aside I've been playing this game for a few years now and if memory serves this is the first time it's been this close heading into the last few weeks of the regular season. Week 14 and it's still anyone's title, nobody is running away with it, everyone bunched up, it's there for the taking for whoever 'cracks' first and makes some brave calls in the final weeks.
-
Can't say for certain but feel like the past few years I've been out of it by this point, so was wondering if it is usually this close at the top going in to the last few weeks of the season.
-
Certainly not since I've been playing. By this stage there's usually been 1 or 2 out in front with the peloton 8 to 10 points behind.

This has been my experience too. Makes it fun going in to the home stretch.

Just insane how bunched up we are. I'm 3 wins out and in 8th?!?!?!?
Doesn't get much more competitive than this.

I went 9-5 which was three less than the best, but I liked my picks, even though I was the only one to pick the Jets (they were hosting a dome team in the cold who had just been hammered, so I didn't think it was a crazy choice). I was still ahead of the Baltimore Sun 'experts' going into last weekend.
Wish I could find the final standings throughout the years. I am guessing that this is the lowest winning percentage of correct picks, or damn close to it.

Indeed for tonight. If the Colts win and I couldn't get online to change my pick, I am going to be peeved. If the Pats win, I will have dodged a bullet and simply go 'phewwwww'.
-
Phew.
Really happy with that, especially because for a while there it seemed like the Colts were looking to shit the bed in the 4th quarter.
That's the most thought I've ever put in to a pick on this game. Every 6th sensory nerve in my body was screaming a Patriots win but the cold analytics were favouring the Colts. Went with the analytics. Paid off for once.
(an inside joke for Stadler and Barto - somewhere in Fort Wayne Indiana our old pal 'Fish' is gleefully chucking darts at his Belichick/McDaniels dart board right now).
-
I would have paid money to view a Fish-cam for that last 20 minutes or so of that game! :) :) :)
That was a hard pick for me as well, and while I didn't do a ton of research, the logic was the same. I decided to go with my head not my heart. I feel like Bill is not too upset about that loss, though; he might be upset the way certain players played, the way they seemed to shoot themselves in the foot when they could least afford to, but there's nothing in that game, IMO that isn't fixable.

What the heck you guys talking about?

Also Google took me a few scrolls to get to this guy. Apparently someone much more famous (of clickable) shares that name?

Fish was a big member of the MP forum and it's much smaller replacement. My overall dislike of him made me stop going to the replacement place and then I guess he rage-quit sometime after that over something. He never stepped foot over here. Can't say I'm not happy about it. I honestly did not get along with him and wasn't very fond of him.

He is/was an interesting dude; very opinionated. The specific reference here is that he was a die-hard Colts fan, and by-the-by, a Brady/Patriots hater (not quite at Dream Team's level - who is? - but very close). I got along with him better than Professor, but we had some back and forth about Deflategate, for sure.

Phew last night I changed my picks on both of today's games to the winner. Keeping track of players on Covid lists, schedule changes... this is going to be tough headed down the stretch!

I certainly would have made a couple of changes due to C19 lists and such if life hadn't gotten in the way. Others I still stand by, they just didn't work. It rather hurts to have been near the top for so long for the first time, only to kind of crash and burn late.

I'm really disappointed in my performance. I'm never the guy that blows away the field, but I'm better than nine out of a ten-man/woman race.
I will say, I didn't see last night coming, and apparently it was pretty clear to everyone else. :) :) :)
-
Had my best week ever and gained exactly zero on first place. Got as close as 3 but after blowing it a few weeks ago, I score exactly the same as whomever is in first. Oh well, at least I'm not Stadler.
-
I'm just going to point out that I cracked 200 last year (a shorter season). I do so because, while I did have a nice lead on the pack, it wasn't a blowout year or anything. We all did considerably better than this year, where so many games came down to the AGS rule of random upsets. And the fact that we all spent so much time grouped together also demonstrates that. Weird season.
-

HAHA. :tup

Fuck, I have tanked this so bad.
-
AGS rule of random upsets?
-
"Any Given Sunday".
EDIT:
Bert Bell became Commissioner of the NFL in 1946. He’s credited with coming up with the phrase “On Any Given Sunday, any team can beat any other team.” (https://www.wbur.org/onlyagame/2009/12/16/on-any-given-sunday)
-
Huh... I've never seen Any Given Sunday abbreviated.
-
I hate the last week of the season, never know what teams are doing as far as rest and evaluation.
Also, does this extend into the playoffs?
-
Didn't think about that because I'm usually out of it by now. And yes the playoffs are included up until the Superb Owl.
-
To paraphrase the Bard as we head into the last week, to be brave or not to be brave? By which I mean if the NFL (in which I'm mostly clueless) is anything like English soccer (in which I'm not), the last week of the season is basically a lottery. Some teams have nothing to play for yet there's always one or 2 players who need to play out of their skin to secure a new contract. Other players are already mentally checked out and lying on a beach in Rimini while the coach is talking to them. Some teams rest their best players for the tougher battles to come, while others want to keep them fighting fit. God only knows which way results fall. So do I play it safe and go with the 'favourites' or mix things up and go for final glory? The answer will likely depend on how many beers I have tomorrow night when I make my picks (Russian Christmas tomorrow, usually have a bit of a shindig).
While I'm here I have 2 questions about the sport. I'll say again, I know very little about the nuts and bolts of American football (I still don't fully understand all the rules) but I've been following it for a few years now and the more I watch the more fascinating I find it. I like to watch videos about it and there are 2 that I want some opinions on.
The first is this one, where Belichick is mad. I don't really get what's going on (rules over my head) but the commentators say that nothing is happening that Bill hadn't done before. So my question is, what is he angry about? Does he not realise that he did the same thing (if indeed it's true that he did)? Is he just being an arsehole or is there something the commentators are missing?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTsvc9pkZ04
And the 2nd thing I'd like your opinions on is this video about Belichick deliberately throwing Superbowl LII. On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being "total horseshit" and 10 being "yep, I agree", what do you think about the theory?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rWZIGS10TU
-
On the first one I think he was just pissed off and frustrated. He'd done it (better) to the Jets, and he was on the wrong side this time.
As for the second, while I can't watch the vid here at work, I'm familiar with the story and I don't really buy it. Bill can certainly hold a grudge, but he's too smart to fuck himself over out of spite. My guess was always that he was just inflexible as to the rules he's set. If you don't practice you don't start.
-
^^ Do me a favour and watch the video when you get a chance, the guy lays his argument out pretty well in my (uninformed) opinion.
-
^^ Do me a favour and watch the video when you get a chance, the guy lays his argument out pretty well in my (uninformed) opinion.
I'm pretty sure I saw that video a while back. That's why I now of the theory in the first place. The fact of the matter is that the inside of Bill's head is a dark, foreboding place and none of us really know what's going on in there. We can speculate, but that's about it.
And back to the first video, there was speculation that Bill had pulled that stunt first specifically to call attention to a particularly stupid loophole. He said after the game that it should be closed for the reason he just demonstrated. When he pulled it against the Jets it was totally meaningless (big blowout). While it probably wasn't the shrewdest move to demonstrate it to the other teams, I could see him being pissed off about falling victim to what really is a silly flaw in the rule book. It's also possible that there actually was a difference between the two games that we don't know about. No coach in the league knows the rules better than Belichick (and the referees will be the first to vouch for this). I suspect he was just frustrated, but I wouldn't rule out that he knew something that we don't.
-
I hate the last week of the season, never know what teams are doing as far as rest and evaluation.

Yep, I shit the bed.
-
I was half-tempted to go upset crazy on several games. Turns out, had I, I might've made a game of this. Pretty much every game that I wanted to play upset ended up going that way. I was 6 back, why the heck didn't I?
-
I do not even want to look at the standings after today.
-
Seems to me that DA66 just jumped out into the lead, with 3 games separating the top 5.
-
I had a good week. Was the only one on Detroit and one of only two on Vegas. Didn't have the stones to pull the trigger on that Jacksonville upset, and certainly wouldn't have ever picked Seattle.

I had seen where the Irsays had not won in J'ville since '14, and I should have pulled the trigger. That would have given me some solace. 7-9 is a horrible way to finish the season after doing quite well the past two weeks. I've been terrible the past three years as to the playoff picks, so I wouldn't be surprised if I go 4-9 for them
I do think it's interesting, that if you divide things up by 17 games, or by 18 weeks, the difference between top and bottom is less than one per. And only six games separate 1st and 7th. Good going, guys :tup
-
Dang, 66 and DoC each had a massive jump. Good job in the clutch guys.

Well, that was unexpected. I'll enjoy the top spot for a few more days but there are more games and it's still pretty tight. :dunno:

Congrats to Barto for going 6 for 6 on Super Wild Card Weekend. I came close, but I was on the wrong side of that beat down in Buffalo.

Thanks. I actually went 12 for 12 IRL. My nemesis and I pick straight and against the spread during the playoffs, and I covered all of those, as well. I really wish there were a way to add that to our thing here, but we're limited to what Yahoo can manage. Honestly, Vegas made the lines pretty easy this week. There was only one that concerned me. I didn't check it before the game and just emailed off "KC-whatever," and was shocked when it turned out to be twelve and a half points. :lol Even that didn't matter, though. My hunch on both KC and TB was that if the game is close enough to go under the spread, both teams will likely lose anyway.
-
^
Did you hit up Vegas with those picks? Well done.
Well, I went 3-3 and continue my late season fade, ...even though I had the Bills picked on pg 53 of the NFL thread. It's not the first time that I've clicked on the team on the right, where my brain for some reason is telling me that is the home team

Nope. The only thing I'll gamble with is a friendly bottle of hooch.

I am glad the Pick 'em is straight up. I doubt I would play if it was involved the spread.

So, a question for everybody who isn't DOC or DA66:
It has always been my intention that this never end in a tie. Until now that's never really been a possibility. Now that it is, my inclination is to insert my standard tiebreakers, as we do in my money league. In the event of a tie line picks, and then, only if necessary, predicted scores will determine the outcome. These will not come into play unless there's a tie after straight W/L. Since this hasn't been brought up before I'm looking to see if this creates a problem with fairness.
The line has not been set yet. Since it changes, and different books have different lines, we go with what's listed on the group picks page on the Yahoo site. The predicted score can be set there, as well, but both of them would need to PM me their line picks. Right now it's looking like it should open around Rams-4, but that's likely to change, I reckon.
Anybody see a problem with this arising at this late date?
-
I side with Ted Lasso on this:

-
No problem from me. Ties are for losers. :) :) :)
-
I’m good with it.
-
I'd go 'total points', and do like 'Price Is Right', closest without going over wins ;)
Anyhoo, I don't mind ties. I was co-champ in the survivor league, and I was happy with that.
I'm old enough to remember the Michigan State-Notre Dame 10-10 tie in '66, and my alma mater tied the record with four of them during a 6-1-4 season in '91 (of all things, Central Michigan beat Michigan State in their first ever meeting, 20-3, the 'easiest' game of the season). Under the new rules, would I remember 8-3? I doubt it. The Chips went 10-0-1 for their only unbeaten season in '79. That was better than 10-1.
(well, gotta get out of my rocking chair and take my dentures out .....)
-
I'd go 'total points', and do like 'Price Is Right', closest without going over wins ;)
I think that would really only work if they were bidding against each other. What if one of them wants to pick 0-2? :lol
I had the predicted score tiebreaker disabled in the Yahoo league, and it won't let me activate it now. Any suggestions for how to work that now? Total differential? Closest combined points (without the going over part)?
Also, part of why I was asking about the new tiebreaker is to find out if incorporating a line bet when one team is up by one adds an unfair element of strategerie. Any thoughts?
-
We have months to determine a way forward for next season.
As for this season, I'd be more than happy to PM Barto a total score prediction that we can use as a tiebreaker if needed. Yahoo won't recognize it, but we can here if
DA is down.

The line bet will definitely come before score prediction. There's far more skill involved in that. You guys can just PM me both before the SB.

This is the first time we've had the potential for a tie? Nice. I will defer to you gambling types on how best to resolve.

I'm not the gambling type and not familiar with sports betting in regards to point spreads or money lines etc. I'll let you guys figure out the best way to resolve a tie and then you might have to school me on how it works. :-[

Alrighty then. Looks like the line remains Rams-4, so we'll go with that. DoC and DA66 need to PM me their line picks, and their predicted score. Again, straight win/loss is what matters here, and line/points will only come into play if y'all are tied in the official Pick'em. Since there is the possibility for stategerie to be in play here, I'd advise you two to no post your picks in the open.
I'm not the gambling type and not familiar with sports betting in regards to point spreads or money lines etc. I'll let you guys figure out the best way to resolve a tie and then you might have to school me on how it works. :-[
It's pretty straight forward. The big brains in Vegas have determined that to bet on the favorites, the Rams, you have to give up 4 points. Which is to say that the Rams have to win by more than 4 points. If you bet on the underdogs, the Bengals, you're betting that they'll either win or keep it close and stay within 4 points. If the game ends with the Rams winning by exactly 4 points then it's a tie insofar as Vegas is concerned and all bets are off.
So, as it relates to this thing of ours, if you think Cincinnati is going to win the game tomorrow, then you necessarily think that they're going to cover the 4 points. If you think LA is going to win, then you need to decide if they win by more or less than 4 points. You could pick LA to win and cover, or you could split your pick and call LA to win but Cinci to keep it within 4.
As for the total points thing, which is pretty unlikely to be necessary, I'll be totaling the differences between each specific team. In other words, if you pick LA 3 and Cinci 47, and the Rams win 47-3, you're in deep shit. :lol
By all means pipe up with any questions. Either here or by PM is fine.

Considering how poorly I started the season I'm pretty cool with a tie for third. It's noteworthy that all of our trajectories kind of reversed course throughout the season. The hot starters petered off and the rest of us slowly improved. I suppose when we were all bunched up around week 13 or so was when we crossed paths.
-
Satisfied with not being last after my dreadful start. Managed to haul myself into the peloton for a few weeks but the wheels fell off towards the end. All good fun though, thanks for running it Barto.
-
I'm a little disappointed with myself for trying to be too cute early on, then I dug a hole I couldn't get out of. I wouldn't have won, but I would have done a lot better if I could have remembered to stick with the plan! :) :)

I blew it the last week of the regular season.

My prediction of Dave catching me sure came to fruition. We started on different ends and I crashed and burned and he hacked and slashed his way up. Well, I did crawl as close as 6 back but could never get over the hump and then crashed again. Typical.
