Title: Tim Donahue (and james labrie) Madmen and sinners Appreciation thread
Post by: Phoenix87x on October 28, 2017, 10:07:16 AM
I'm sure there's a thread on this somewhere, but since I couldn't find it, here we go.

I was cleaning and stumbled upon this very cool album. Bought it back in the early 2000's and always thoroughly enjoyed it. I am now just listening to it again for the first time in years. James labrie, Tim donahue and mike mangina and they deliver. I have had the title track epic stuck in my head for days, especially the absolutely amazing part about 3/4 of the way into the song. The "I've heard you calling out my name" part OMG  :metal

I just wanted to see if anyone else digs it too.

I'll take a listen just to hear Mangina.

Love that album.  My favorite JLB side project (other than his solo stuff).

Also my introduction to fretless guitars.  You hear fretless bass all the time in songs but fretless guitars are a different beast.

I should relisten to it someday. But yes, I remember the album was great, with songs ranging from good to very good, and yes, the climax of the title track is absolutely awesome and would it have been a DT song, it would have been a big fan favorite  :metal

I like it. Been a while since I reached for it off of the shelf though.
