DT's twitter posted this a few hours ago:
"@dreamtheaternet: We want to say just how thankful DT is for our fans & friends from all around the world. Looking forward to seeing you on the road in 2015!"
Does this actually mean they'll tour next year??
(Also, that's my best attempt at a clickbait headline. Lol)
I have it from a reliable source that they are going to have a week's residency at a club north of Los Angeles where they are going to play each album in it's entirety over the course of the week... with Sherinian and Zakk Wylde guesting. And boobs. There will be lot's of them.

That's a funny thing. An idea I wanted Alter Bridge to do, for their 10th year as a band, is to do like four club shows in a big area like LA, Chicago, New York where they played a different album in its entirety over the course of this residency.
As for DT touring 2015? I'm for it. If they have a show in LA and the general set includes either The Bigger Picture, Behind the Veil, and/or Surrender to Reason, I want to be a part of that audience.
Let's hope they finally change the fucking setlist
Maybe they just meant it as a figure of speech without having any solid plans for the new year yet. Maybe it will be after recording a new album. All I know is that the Sydney show was supposed to be the last show of the tour at that point in time.
Crossing my fingers...Happy Thanksgiving everybody.
Well, clearly this would not be the Along For the Ride tour any longer. New album or not, I'm sure this will be a new tour. And awesome, I'm excited! :metal
I've heard they are planning a special tour to commerorate the 21st anniversary of Awake.
I hope they play the first half of the album, along with an encore consisting of Home, One Last Time and The Spirit Carries On.
"I'll see you, on the road" The ending of nearly every Jordan Rudess video. If he wrote that tweet, we should expect nothing :lol

:rollin
Jordan always walks a lot around places. He should say " see you on the streets" ;)
I actually heard they were planning a celebratory tour for the 1 year anniversary of DT12, where they play the same 6 DT12 songs from the AFTR tour and Raw Dog as an encore.
The residency and Alter Bridge thing seem suspiciously like Coheed and Cambria's Neverender shows in 2008.
Would be stupid not to tour for their 30th anniversary.
I've noticed with the release of DT12 and it's whole cycle a rather similar pattern to the ToT cycle. I think they've done touring DT12 and they will get an album out next year and will then start touring it and the anniversary late next year.
Home for the Holidays tour...
eh, too late.

Not a great job I'm afraid, your thread title is far too informative. For proper clickbait it should be more like "DREAM THEATER said WHAT in their latest EPIC TWEET?!"

James LaBrie recently spouted a bunch of BS about how he thinks the anniversaries should be counted, so we may see that in 2019.
Rush didn't tour for 40th, but IIRC they're planning a 41st.
They'll be playing at Rock Fest in Barcelona (23-24-25 july):

It's another summer European tour. Insufferable? Good.
Love European Tour Dates :D
Do you live in Europe and/or going to the shows? Enjoy. I know you will have a great time. If not, I hope they come to a town near you.

You write just fine. It's ok. Just enjoy the concerts for us. The best shows I saw of them were in Den Bosch and London back in2000. Perhaps one day I'll get to go back to Europe and hopefully plan my trip around a tour over there. It's a great way to see Europe.

As far as I know, Europe is a bigger market for DT (and metal in general) than America, and they have the opportunity to play some big festivals like Wacken for the first time. Why shouldn't they do it?

Because they skipped the whole southern half of the United States on their last tour and because South Florida and Florida in general DOES have a decent metal scene as well. I think they should at least try to get to a market they skipped over completely before doing a third run in Europe. For us in the South who have been waiting on some word of inclusion it seems like a slap in the face. Maybe they'll finally include us in the fall. Who knows??? I hope so but I am not counting on it at this point given the last tour. It is what it is and I'll survive and see the bands that do/can play here. Wanee festival in North Florida (Florida-Georgia line) in mid-April. Notice I said North Florida. For me it is an 8-9 hour drive from Homestead each way for the three day festival. I'd drive and have driven in the past 4-6 hrs each way to see Dream Theater. It was never a viable option on the last tour because they didn't come further south than Washington DC. For those who feel my post is insufferable and oh so redundant (it is and I understand that), sorry, but the question was asked of me...
July 9-11 - Rock Harz, Ballenstedt, Germany
July 16-18 - Bang Your Head, Balingen, Germany
July 19-25 - Metal Days, Slovenia
July 23-25 - Rockfest, Barcelona, Spain
July 30-August 1 - Waken Festival, Waken, Germany
Watch this space - Hopefully they'll squeeze in some mid-week shows as well... (and change the fucking set-list...)

Hell yeah! I was going to go there anyway. Having DT on the schedule comes in handy.
This is gonna be some nice summer vacation.
Metal days and Bospop confirmed.
As always, I'll consider this. :metal
Dream Theater and Jules Holland on the same bill? Now that should be an interesting night...
Yes Katowice confirmed !!!
I'll be there :D
Ramblin' Man Fair confirmed !
Ramblin' Man Fair - DT on the Saturday, Marillion on the Sunday! I hate festivals, and don't go to them, but I'm seriously thinking about this!
:loser:
Vienna on July 10th confirmed

Skogsröjet Festival in Sweden added :)

Doh! A festival. I'm not into festivals, had it been a "regular" show I probably would attend.
This is a bit off topic but about promoters and Miami...Recently on Facebook, I asked Al Di Meola why he had three shows for his upcoming tour in North Florida but none in Miami where he lives off and on. He responded that the promoters only cared about the Kanye Wests and Pitbulls rather than bringing decent artists down here. He said to rest assured that he would make it happen...for those not in the know, he is one of John Petrucci's influences and performs on one of Derek Sherinian's albums with JP trading licks...This is what he did for us in Miami...so proud of him and I will be at the Wednesday show...and it's FREE: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=921226501256170

Holy mother of..whatever holy.. And stuff. :omg:
My first post in years, but when you wake up to find out Dream Theater is coming to your small, remote city in northern Norway. Well that's just ridiculously awesome :-)
July 16th!
https://bukta.no/,how cool is that?
It's a really good place for atmospheric concerts too. The scene placed down on the beach, with a back scenery of ocean, mountains and midnight sun :) gonna be great! :metal
July 26th - Pratteln, Switzerland (Z7 KONZERTFABRIK) with Queensrÿche.
Per That Metal Show with John Petrucci, NO USA shows for 2015. Another world tour for 2016...which means endless European dates
...and it's looking increasingly less likely that those club warm-up dates will be hapening either...
(3 shows in Italy, 4 in Germany and only 1 in the UK, and a festival supporting slot at that???)

According to the Ramblin' Man announcement it's an exclusive UK show.
It was initially a UK Festival exclusive - seems to have subsequently become a UK exclusive. Shame.

Belarus now 1st.
7th July Budapest - Hungary
(https://hammerworld.hu/images/upload/000a6b.jpg)
I'll be there too.
Here's to hoping the live sound is better this year!
What's changed in the past 5 years to make it worse though? The FOH engineer has been the same at least as far back as ToT. Many people have commented that this was the worst sounding DT show they've seen in their respective venue, so I don't think that house stacks are to blame. Someone on GDT blamed digital PAs (I assume the mixboard specifically, as class-D amps are supposed to be incredibly good) for adding the ability to oversaturate the sound with effects.
28th July - Beaufort, Luxembourg, CHATEAU DE BEAUFORT
August 2: Helsinki, Finland (Radio City South Park Festival at the Ice Hall) (https://www.radiocity.fi/musiikki/ilouutisia-radio-city-south-park-festivaali-elokuussa-myos-helsingissa-14771)
Anathema will play there too, so I can't miss this! :2metal: I'm positively surprised at this announcement, because DT hasn't played any summer shows in Finland since 2002, and I thought there'd be no more dates for this year.

Do you have any idea if they'll play just a few songs in Prague (since it's part of broader one-day festival) or "full" concert?
They are Headliner, i think they played 2 hours. In Katowice 9pm-11pm
Prague :
Moved from o2 to forum Karlin !!!
Otevření Fora Karlín: 18.00
Persona Grata: 18.30 - 19.15

Damn not good, I'll be at both shows (+ 2 other shows) But i hope they will play 2 hours(even 1 h, 45 min)
If they play really 90 minutes, I am hoping for some set changes.I'm pissed off now...
Confused about the Rome date, ticket says 9pm but there are two bands on before them?
I forgot my password on dime , any new bootlegs from this tour ?
Nothing yet Charles - and I've been checking regularly. Surprised that nothing's shown up yet.
