The entirety of Overture 1928. It is so good. SFAM in general has POWERFUL melodies that flow so smoothly and are just so pleasing to the ears.
I was also thinking of the "Then came a shot out of the night" part in Finally Free. That part is amazing. And also Home, but it's hard to just pick one section out of Home, as it's a pretty one-dimensional song (not that that's necessarily a bad thing).

I'm not a big fan of the Overture.
Imho, two sections come to mind:
1. the second verse in Home (Jullian's part)
2. "Then came a shot out of the night" and the part that follow :metal

Overture 1928 is awesome, but for me THE best moment on SFAM is the OLT reprise and the solo after it in Finally Free.
-
Ah this album has too many great sections it's hard to choose.
- Overture 1928 is amazing and my favorite part is the Metropolis throwback starting at 1:35.
- Beyond this Life, idk what to call this part but it starts at 8:26
- I love the chorus in Home, especially the first one.
- The One Last Time guitar solo in Finally Free
I'll probably choose the Home chorus. I really love it.

Fatal Tragedy instrumental section :metal

Yeah, everything listed I'm down with.
To go with Ħ and Finally Free vein; I think after the intro verse, the part where JP doubles the vocal melody, through the reprise of the OLT theme with guitar is incredible. And it includes the tubular bell "shot out of the night" thingy too.
-
So many to choose from. For instance, the heavier part of SDV. Especially @ "Still searching, but I don't know what for".
-
The end of TSCO.

The best part of SFAM is when you hit "play".

Lots of great sections, but I think I might have to go with the ending on One Last Time, from "this house has been brought back to life" onward. Whenever I'm listening to SFAM, that section consistently gives me chills.

The second half of One Last Time. Goosebumps all over my body every time.

:tup That.
I'm not sure I could narrow SFAM down to a top 10 best sections!

I'm new here...
My favourite section, hands down, is the solo in Fatal Tragedy and the way it suddenly stops before One Last Time
-
Probably 1928. There's a couple of parts which I'm talking about mainly, but don't know the time stamp.

Fatal Tragedy is followed by One Last Time? o.O

Technically, Fatal Tragedy does end before One Last Time begins.

Beyond this life solo section is the one that immediately sprang to mind. There are so many amazing parts on that album.
-
The last chorus on Finally Free.

The last chorus on Finally Free.
This reminds me of the 1928 reprise. That section is up there too.
-
Fatal Tragedy instrumental section :metal
Yes, yes, yes!
And the awesome vocal parts in Beyond This Life (3:25) and jazzy instrumental part in TDOE (2:31). Oh well, I love nearly everything of this album. :hefdaddy

SAFE IN THE LIGHT THAT SURROUNDS ME

The Beyond This Life jam is probably my favorite section on the album.
-
Beyond This Life. Whole damn song. Best part of the album. Winner for me. Other parts:
Finally Free "As the bodies lie still" part, OLT solo reprise, and the outro.
Fatal Tragedy.
Home chorus.
Overture 1928, 2:44 to the end.
The Dance of Eternity - Fatal Tragedy reprise 1:44 - 2:15, Overture reprise part at 2:15-2:31 (and the drumming in this song is so cool).
-
The entire disc is on a different planet than any other album by any artist.
That said, some parts which stand out to me:
- Tonight/Today I've been searching for it,
A feeling that`s deep inside me/A feeling that won't go away
- Without love, without truth
There can be no turning back
Without faith, without hope
There can be no peace of mind
- Home Chorus
- "Spirits rise through the air" part in Finally Free, then the chorus breakdown with JLB and acoustic guitar only (This feeling inside me, etc.). Then the following part (full chorus and outro)
(On second thought, it's just easier to say the whole song is a favorite section)
- Bluesy section in Beyond This Life instrumental section ( https://youtu.be/iQYZMRZ18Fg?t=9m25s )
-
The Regression reprise in The Spirit Carries On. Spine-chillingly good.
