I know I will be labeled nuts as usual but I have to share this...
I just returned home from a viewing of the movie The Evil Dead. About half way through the movie I felt a circulating cold air surrounding me in my seat. At first I was confused. It seamed as if the movie theater turned the AC on high it was so ridiculously cold.
So I sat there freezing my ass off for a few minutes when I reached up to scratch the back of my head. As I lifted my arm I crossed some threshold where it went totally warm and normal...like it had been. I pulled my arm back and it was freezing again. I was like WTF? I then moved my arm to the right. As if crossing another barrier it was warm. I pulled my arm in and it was freezing. Then I moved my arm to the left. Once again totally warm.
At this point my heart is starting to beat rapidly and I am a bit freaked out to say the least. It was like I was inside a bubble of freezing cold air.
I sat frozen for a minute (no pun intended) not even paying attention to the movie at all. I was so nervous I was getting nauseous.
So finally I got the hell up and left the theater. I am still trying to calm down. I feel almost dizzy.
I don't know what the hell happened and I'm not going to presume to. This is the first time I have ever experienced something like this.
I don't know what else to say.

Sounds medical. You should get checked out.
Or I want some of what you had v.demchills.
-
in b4 lens flare
Seriously, that is strange though.

Yeah, sounds like an impending heart attack or something.
Go get that checked out, bud!
-
The stuff you described is pretty consistent with a panic attack, but it could obviously be other things.
-
I would go to the doctor and rule out the medical, then call a psychic.
-
IT WAS A GHOST!

That's an odd story. I doubt it's some sort of 'evil' entity though. I'd agree that it sounds like a medical issue. Were you clutching your arms tight...like all folded in? Maybe when you extended your arms the blood began to flow again? I don't know.....I think the fact of the movie you were watching could have had a psychological affect on you as well?
But just in case I'd research if that theater was built on an ancient Indian burial ground just to be sure :(

lensflare
if it's serious, I didn't say that.

Seems way too strange to be a medical thing. There are things on this planet that cannot be medically or scientifically explained. I know most here don't believe that, but it's a fact.
Don't sit in that theatre seat ever again.
-
Sounds like punishment for supporting bad remakes to me.

I really hope this entire post was supposed to be green.

Reality....
I was at the movies and felt a cold surround me for a moment and then it was back to normal. I'm sure it was probably nothing except it left me feeling a little strange.
After the fact I said if I embellish on this it could be another classic tick thread. After all we were ripped off of April Fools this year. It didn't really generate the interest I figured it would so meh...best laid plans...
but lens flare was real, baby!!!
-
...I want my quarters back.
-
...I want my quarters back.
Try and take them from me!

I still wouldn't sit in that seat.

Nice try.....but we know you actually went to the Dr. and recieved a diagnosis of 'wussy chicken boy'. It's OK. Scary movies aren't for everyone :D

I wish scary movies were scary. That's what I go in hoping for and I usually walk out disappointing. The last scary movie I really liked was 1408. That was freaky.

So what was the point of this thread?
-
Remakes and reboots suck.
Unless it's JJ Abrams Star Trek ( 2009 ) - that was excellent.
-
So what was the point of this thread?
If you read my first response in this thread after my op it will give you the clarity you seek grasshopper.

Stick Death?

-
So what was the point of this thread?
Callbacks/nostalgia.

I loved the Batman reboots
The XMen reboot
The Spiderman reboot
-
Yeah, people seem to forget about the Batman movies when they're talking about reboots.

It was good for what it was; doesn't mean I don't want a new ST in the spirit of the older series.
-
Remakes and reboots by nature are going to cause skepticism with me. But of course, there's been many really good ones every now and then. The Batman reboot for example. And the Hulk reboot.
-
JJ's Star Trek & Chris Nolans Dark Knight trilogy.
Thats about it.

and XMEN first class is way better than the original XMEN trilogy of films.
-
It is ?
I must check it out then.
-
It is ?
I must check it out then.
I thinks its a lot better than the first 3 films. I was surprised how good it was.
-
One thing I have failed to mention in this thread is that, Evil Dead wasn't very good.
-
Evil Dead wasn't very good.
That was implied.
-
Neither was the original, but that's what was so great about it.
-
Don't start talking bad about the original Evil Dead or it's two sequels. The movies were bad and low budget but at least they were aware of that.
-
Yeah, that's what makes it fun. Army of Darkness is one of my favorite movies of all time. Best one-liners of all time, that's indisputable.
Also Bruce Campbell graduated from my high school.
-
Dude, that's extremely badass. Fuck.
"Hail to the king, baby".
