The keyboardists deserve a thread like this too! Feel free to list as many as you like, these are my top 3 picks from each:
KM:
1. Take the Time (#1 overall)
2. Scarred
3. 6:00
DS:
1. ACOS (The Inevitable Summer)
2. Lines in the Sand (intro)
3. Burning My Soul (one of the main factors that make me like BMS more than the average DT fan does)
JR:
1. Blind Faith
2. Home
3. Lost Not Forgotten
Oh god this is sooooo hard! I should add that I prefer most DT guitar solos to DT keyboard solos, but there are nevertheless some damn fine specimens that deserve appreciation.
KM:
1. Take the Time
2. Under a Glass Moon
3. 6:00 (even though I'm no big fan of the song itself)
DS:
1. Trial of Tears
2. Burning My Soul
3. The Inevitable Summer
JR:
1. Blind Faith
2. Goodnight Kiss
3. Beneath the Surface
Oh God you didn't :D
If I had to list just one:
KM - Take The Time
DS - Inevitable Summer
JR - Blind Faith
Side note - is anyone reminded of the BF solo section during the BAI solo section? I love both.
Kevin:
1. LTL
2. TTT
3. UAGM
Derek:
1. Trial Of Tears
2. ACOS VI
3. ?
Jordan:
1. Blind Faith
2. Beneath The Surface
3. Octavarium
KM
1 - Take The Time
2 - Take The Time intro
3 - Pull Me Under
DS
1 - Trial of Tears
2 - Lines In The Sand intro
3 - Burning My Soul (hey, I love that one too!)
JR
Fatal Tragedy - best air keyboard solo EVER
Beyond This Life sleazy keyboard solo
Octavarium moog lead
Overture 1928
The Dance of Eternity ragtime
Blind Faith (both the organ and the synth, but mostly the synth)
Solitary Shell piano solo
The Root of All Evil
Honor Thy Father - haters gonna hate, but I love the fast guitar-like lead with all the feedback. It just fits the tone of the song so perfectly.
I had trouble ranking or narrowing it down any further for JR (so sue me!). To be fair, JR has been on 7 albums, while each KM and DS have only been on one album each that I like, so I had a lot more trouble narrowing it down. :)

3. Beneath the Surface
Oh, I forgot about that neat Moog solo in BTS! I would probably rank it as my #3 JR solo instead of LNF.

The only DT keyboard solo I can play besides BTS! :lol

Sherinian:
1. Trial of Tears
2. A Change of Seasons: Inevitable Summer
3. Peruvian Skies
Rudess:
1. Home
2. Blind Faith
3. Overture 1928 (the one near the end..the way the keyboard lead near the end of it comes in and then continues as the song near its end is awesome...unfortunately, it is never done that way live)
KM
1.Take The Time
2.Scarred
3.Pull Me Under
DS
1.LITS intro
2.Trial Of Tears
3.ACOS
JR
1.Beyond This Life

I'd say that is THE most memorable and best Dream Theater keyboard solo.
As for Space Dye Vest, I totally agree. I never really think of anything in that song as being a solo, but I guess you can consider the section before the "There's no one to take my blame..." final vocal section a solo. And what a piano solo it is. :hefdaddy :hefdaddy
KM - Take The Time
DS - Trial of Tears
JR - Blind Faith
If we could use the LTE stuff as well for JR, I'd go with Kindred Spirits easily.
Kevin Moore: 6:00 (also the sexiest DT song ever imo)
Derek Sherinian: The entirety of Hell's Kitchen...
Jordan Rudess: Intro to About to Crash
Kevin Moore:
-Pull Me Under
-intro solo in Learning to Live
-outro solo in Only a Matter of Time
Derek Sherinian:
-Burning My Soul
-Trial of Tears
-piano solo in Lines in the Sand (you know, the jazzy part before the third verse) and the intro
Jordan Rudess:
-piano solo in Blind Faith
-piano solo in On the Backs of Angels
-intro solo in In the Presence of Enemies
Does this count too for Jordan? :)

DS - Inevitable Summer
JR - Blind Faith
Side note - is anyone reminded of the BF solo section during the BAI solo section? I love both.
I am. When I was telling my cousins about ADTOE since they hadn't listened to it yet I described BAI as Learning to Live combined with Blind Faith
KM - Take the Time - best keyboard solo ever
DS - Trial of Tears
JR - I have no idea. I'll have to have a think about this ;D
