Title: Rush Survivor 2013 - Preliminaries - 1970s

First, what is your favourite album from the 1970s?

I really like Alex Lifeson's guitar tone of A Farewell to Kings.

Fountain of Lamneth is great, you just have to be in a more chill mood for it. I love Bacchus Plateau, Panacea, No One at the Bridge... But they're slower tempo songs. They're great songs, nonetheless. I admit I reach for them less often, but that doesn't mean they're not good. Give them another listen and tell me you don't appreciate them for what they are.

I actually like Geddy's bass tone on AFTK, my favorite of all their albums.

Funny, I end up defending All the other albums, when I voted for Hemispheres.

Plus, Caress of Steel has always been kind of a rainy day album to me. I remember the day I bought it: rainy, windy. I put the CD in my car as I drove away from the record store and got some beef tamales. Yeah, the album is kind of like that. :lol
