So when can I get the entire internet via mail order then? 50g wouldn't cost anything to ship.

I guess reddit weighs about 1/1000 of a dingleberry then.

And I bet once you take porn out of the calculation, the entire internet is invisible to the naked eye.

The internet weighs about 1/32 of my penis.

Not to weigh the internet down with an extra fact - but going by the most accurate statistics I can find, remove the porn and the internet would be about the size of... well, of a slightly smaller strawberry.

4% of the net is porn. 10-15% of all internet searches are for porn.

...and 30-35% of those searches originate at my IP address.

How does it feel crushing my reality like that, rob? No really, tell me how it feels to just grab someone's entire belief system in the palm of your hand like a ......... a strawberry, and to crush the life out of it until you are just left with the juicy satisfaction of being right?
If I can't make wild hyperbolic statements about something so certain in life as pornography, then we may as well all just give up and go home right now.

We may share the same first name, but we no longer share a special bond. You are dead to me.

If it's any consolation, I did think it was a good joke.

Not sure if it's supposed to be "Woah, that's so small" but to me it's more "Woah, that's huge" because of the fact all those electrons add up to a mass you can even compare to a regular object you can actually see and hold.

Well, considering that an electron weighs 9.109x10-28 of a gram, I'm more impressed that all those electrons add up to a macroscopic object.

Sadly, I did not have to look up the weight of an electron.  /forever alone

I knew the mass of an electron right off the bat as well. :blob: :hifive:

The internet is like a radish. Red and vibrant on the outside. Flourishing in all its splendor. When you look a bit deeper you find its really just White and void of life.

Don't really know what I'm saying, but I'm bored.

I think it's impressive on both fronts. It's astonishing that for something as big and all-expansive as the internet, each packet of information is so infinitesimally tiny that they weigh no more than a strawberry. But equally, knowing the weight of an electron, it's astonishing that the people of the universe have mustered together enough information - a normally immaterial concept - that it could be said to have any kind of weight at all.

540x10^(21) electrons * 9.109x10^(-28) grams/electron = 0.00049 grams

Where are my missing powers of 10?  540 billion trillion is (540x10^9)^12 = 540x10^21

Even if that figure uses relativistic mass of the moving electrons, it doesn't account for 10^5

Brilliant writing, I'm getting at least 3 interpretations here.
