Stevie Floyd, your guttural howls and banshee screaming make my day when it is down.
Lady Gaga, after Electric Chapel, I expect a very metal next album :P
La Roux, I got a lot of flack originally when listening to you.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Annie Haslam (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnN6Cmd1gbw) yet from Renaissance.  Without a doubt my favorite female vocalist of all time.  Such a beautiful sounding voice.

Other bands with female vocalists that I enjoy:

Phideaux
District 97
Epica
Magenta
Izz
The Last Void
Par Lindh Project
To-Mera
Estrum
Elfonia
Stream Of Passion
Earth and Fire
Edenbridge
Harmonium
Illusion

Epica is good band... if only they had good songs....
Simone deserves to be obsessed with tho.... she's a beauty with a lovely voice....

To each their own I guess.  Never been a fan of the death metal vocals (in any band for that matter), but beyond that they're a great band.  Epica's last 2 albums are superb.

I just started to get into Harmonium more over the last year or so.  Le Corridor from their L'Heptade album is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever had the pleasure of hearing.  That instrumental section is awe inspiring.

Sharon Den Adel- beautiful voice, beautiful woman. :heart :heart :heart :heart :heart

Ann Wilson

Sandi Saraya- Saraya made two great albums, When The Blackbird Sings being the better of the two.

Robin Beck- Trouble Or Nothin' is a great 80s pop rock album.

Joanna Dean and Sass Jordan

Pink- her bluesy duet with Steven Tyler on Misery is very good.

Pat Benatar in the 70s early 80s

Pamela Moore for Sister Mary

and Susannah Hoffs' voice used to do strange things to me in my teens. :blush

Marcie Free (Unruly Child- was Mark Free)

Anyone remember Stevie Lange, best known for a female deodorant ad ("Limarra") based on her only hit Remember? Powerful voice.

One name Floor Jansen. I recently discovered After Forever and ReVamp now I've become obsessed. Sucks that AF disbanded hopefully ReVamp will tour in the U.S.

Simone Simons is beautiful visually and auditorily but there's just something about Epica that doesn't click for me. Its hit and miss.
