Rules:
-Post your 5 favorite albums from 1986; the order does not matter. If you only like less than 5, list those. Just no more than 5.
-List the band name first and then the album name. Like this: Band name - Album name
-If you change your mind, edit your original post. Do not post them again.
-Only studio and live albums will be counted; no best of, compilations, etc.
-Posts that you do not follow these rules will not be counted.
Nomination phase will last two days.

-
I only have like 2 albums. :lol
-
I only have their first 3, haha. I love them all, I need to get more :D
-
I'll definitely be nominating Nightfall for 87. Probably the best album of that year. ;)
-
Yeah, I'm trying to think but I can't think of anything better during that year at the moment. Epicus Doomicus Metallicus is probably my favourite Candlemass album and its my favourite from 86 :)
What other album of theirs do you have?
-
Tales of Creation and that's all.
-
What do you think about it?
I find Ancient Dreams the worst out of the 3 I have, but its still a solid album and I would definitely recommend it to a fan. Mirror, Mirror is my favourite Candlemass song.

you're not alone Durg. It was a golden age for sure. As I said in my list I'm not looking forward to 1987 as that was my best year for music. I probably bought more albums that year than any other.

I'm so dreading 1987!
Yeah, me too. 86 thru 90 are strong (there are gonna be some great albums left off everyone's list - hard to believe I had to leave Mechanical Resonance off my '86 list) Personally, I think '89 might be even harder (because '88 will simply be a race for 2nd place)

If this goes to 1991 and 1992, I'd struggle to narrow those down to a top 20. Those are my personal golden years.
-
Ordinarily, I would think 1987 would come down to the two heavyweights, The Joshua Tree and Appetite for Destruction, but since neither U2 nor Guns N' Roses are really popular here, you never know.
-
When in doubt, just see what album Metallica or Maiden released that year. :lol
And Appetite will definitely be getting a vote from me.
