Now that I've sent my song to Rich I can stop staying quiet about this band :lol
Anyone who likes great vocal harmonies and folk-rock should check out their debut, Sigh no More. I can't say enough good things about it. Hell, even if you don't like those things you should check it out.

Very, very high, I'd say. I love both, and for similar reasons.

White Blank Page is also another favorite of mine.
That was my favourite, with Thistle & Weeds a very close second. The latter has a real Radiohead feel to it!
Anyway yeah, really great album, I'm so glad you recommended them to me. :D

Yea, I've listened to it twice through already. One of the greatest things I've heard this year.
EDIT: This may be the album of 2010 for me. 5 full listens in under 24 hours. This record is beautiful.

They're getting huge airplay here in Holland, and were one of the most hyped acts of the yearly Lowlands festival. If I recall correctly I was at some awesome Postrock band during their gig.

Finally checking this band out, per a few songs my brother sent me. Sounds pretty sweet thus far. "Roll Away Your Stone" is all kinds of fun. :tup :tup

I've been enjoying them a lot lately. I actually got into this style of music with The Avett Brothers (who you should all check out as well), and I found that I liked Mumford & Sons a lot as well.

What a great band. I've been checking them this past six months.

WELP. That couldn't be more untrue.
Mumford & Sons own. Timshel is one of the most beautiful songs ever written.

I know em' all by heart, because they're each fairly unique. I will go as far as to say that the songs are all pretty much structured the same, but the sound of each song is completely different. Winter Winds sounds not a thing like Thistle & Weeds, nor does Awake my Soul sound anything like Timshel. I beg you listen to the album again, it's a masterpiece, one of my favorite albums of 2009/2010 (this is debatable).

I just listened to this band on Saturday and the only songs I have heard have been "The Cave" and "Little Lion Man" and can't stop listening to them. They are just awesome, nuff said.

I can understand this to a small degree. In particular the banjo rhythms are pretty much identical in most songs, which is really the only thing that bugs me about this band. Otherwise, I think they're fantastic.

I like them too, but I agree that their songs are very, very samey.

The songs have a lot of structural similarities, sure. It's very simple music, but it's so effective.

I can see someone saying their stuff is a bit samey, but like Fleet Foxes, they have such a distinct sound and style, that a lot of their stuff is bound to sound fairly similar. Sigh No More is still a fine album, regardless. :tup :tup

It's a really awesome song. Very standard Mumford, but still lovable anyways. The album is going to be awesome.

Yeah the new song is really nice, very unsurprising but then it's only their second album so really I'm expecting just more of the same. Looking forward to it!

Heh, I listened to this band for two and a half hours while getting my tattoo on Wednesday. Wasn't bad, but wasn't anything I'd rush out to buy either.

Cool! I like their first album a lot. Get's a little waney after a while though so hopefully they mix it up a bit.

I haven't checked out the single. I think I may wait until the album is released. As many others have said, they do produce songs that are quite similar structurally, but they are all pretty good. The highlight for me is the lyrics.

Not out in America yet, until the 25th if I'm correct. I'm looking forward to it, although I didn't enjoy the single as much as any of the tracks off the debut.

Don't worry it's nowhere near the best song.
Below My Feet might possibly be one of the best songs they've ever done.

Love the new album, more of the same really, but a bit more consistent in quality, which is pretty much the perfect approach to making a second album!
