Title: Check out this band I recorded

I just finished recording a demo for this band.  I'd appreciate some comments/critiquing on the audio production.  This was the first time I recorded a band that was not my own, so it was interesting.

I tracked everything except vocals, and I did all post processing, editing, mixing, and mastering.

Sounds studio quality to me...

Thanks DMoS.

Anyone else?  I could use some critiquing.

Vocal production is excellent, maybe a touch more reverb/delay for the clean vocals. Perhaps a little too much under snare mic in the mix, and maybe a touch more weight behind the kick. Watch the peak in the first track as well, I'm all for SYL style bass drops, but it does distort.

Pretty good on the whole, just don't be afraid of effects as it does sound a little dry at times.

Thanks for the comments.

I used a new reverb plugin for the vocals, so I was a bit cautious on using too much reverb (better a little dry than too much).  I'll try messing with the bottom snare mic; snare sound is something I want to work on (I used SD 2.0 for the drums).  I like how the kick came out.  My monitors don't accurately portray the sound of the kick, so I was constantly going back and forth to the system in my car to see how much the sub picked it up.  It's hard to get it at just the right level.  As for the bass drops, the band wanted them to be pretty strong sounding.  I used a new sample for those too, so it took a bit of learning/experimenting to get it to sound right.  Next time I'll mess with the limiter on the bass drops more; they were kind of a last minute addition so I didn't have as much time as I'd like to play with them.
