A vocalist to record parts online, or one to be a live performer?

Or...he could just post his question here and you could respond here?  Since, you know, you posted a thread about it and all.

By the way, I've been curious about something.  Is a "VOCALIST" just a really loud "vocalist," or is there some other skill set involved that I'm not aware of?

Bosk I agree about the question/email thing, but that is a little harsh about the "VOCALIST" thing.
But that's why your an admin I guess.

Anyways, check this out kohoraikonen. I can't check out your band right now because myspace is blocked at school, but here is a little recording of mine. Keep in mind I did this at 3 in the morning and I am now taking lessons as well. Obviously I don't know what kind of metal band you are yet, but I can do some growling (and do some in the file I'm providing), but I mainly sing.

I have a lower range, as in choir I'm considered a bass, but I have been greatly improving my range.

I am in the USA, so this would only apply if you wanted parts recorded online and not a full time vocalist.

I know, but:  (1) I'm just goofing on him; it's nothing to take overly seriously; and (2) I guess I'm just a little annoyed that he apparently signed up for the forum solely to advertise for a singer, and then has the nerve to tell people not to even respond back on the forum and instead email him outside the board.  A lot of boards don't even allow people to remain members if they aren't willing to actually contribute to the community.  I'm pretty liberal about allowing people to post when they are mainly just looking to advertise something, as long as it's somewhat related to what this forum is about.  But I find it kind of insulting when they don't even want a response or any discussion about the very thing they posted.

I don't growl and all, but I consider myself a metal singer, in a way. Maybe too lyric and light.

Could you be more talkative? We're talking, we're asking, and you're quite quiet.

I'm gonna check those out when I get home, and I'll lay down some vocals if I have the time tonight. Now it might not sound super professional, but I'm gonna try my best with the equipment I have. If you like how it turns out, and this turns into a long term thing (despite the seperate countries thing), then I will buy a better microphone.

kohoraikonen, I'll also email you the track when I'm finished
