What a lazy attempt at sending a song though

I mean I need bonus points and like... instrumental is a bonus point.

Also, as my philosophy always goes, even if it's a very famous song, if the person doesn't know it they should know it, and sending it makes them listen to it. And it's a really good song so.

Also, #NeverForget that I sent One and Heaven & Hell to Sacul, and Siberian Khatru to Parama. Low-hanging fruit should be expected of me by this point. :lol

I have some horrible gaps in my collection, especially metal-wise.

I have massive gaps too, which is why I actually like people to send me stuff that fills those gaps. A lot of really well-known stuff is just stuff I wouldn't bother looking into otherwise.

Which one have you not heard? No matter what the answer is, you're missing out on a stellar prog epic.

And You And I is a very good song. Pretty brilliant combination of an epic and a ballad.

Heaven & Hell to Sacul, and Siberian Khatru to Parama.
Haven't heard either of these. :lol The name Heaven & Hell does ring a bell but I can't put my finger on the bandname.

I thought, along with some Metallica & Maiden stuff here and there, that the Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms was one of your most out-there submissions, a song I thought everyone had heard by now.

C'mon guys gimme a letter I'll have time for one or two more today before I leave for the weekend.

Zardonic - Vigilante
Chthonic - Supreme Pain For The Tyrant
Scorpions - No One Like You

ReVamp - The Anatomy Of A Nervous Breakdown: Neurasthenia
Dark Tranquility - What Only You Know
Hybrid - Break My Soul
Amorphis - Under The Red Cloud
Sigh - Amnesia
Rush - YYZ

So the only song that hasn't been guessed just so happens to be the only harsh noise song I've gotten in all 5 rounds of this roulette so far.

Rosetta - ____nt / __t_ ___il__

Brothers In Arms would also fit into that category, yes. But how do you not know Black Sabbath's Heaven & Hell and Yes's Siberian Khatru? Yes is even on your banned list!

He sent two songs then?

Absent / Beta Aquilae

They're listed as two seperate songs everywhere, though it might be a live recording or something.

Now we can guess who sent what.

Also, results when?

It's a 2 disc album, both with the same amount of songs, and they're meant to be played at the same time to complement eachother, if I understand correctly. Since it's basically one song I allowed it, but like I said to a few of you through PM and I think in the OP aswell, I'm not allowing 2 track combo's like I did in the first roulette, with like 1 intro track that flows into the main one. Or the 3 track combo from The Apologist for example.

Because I only have Fragile, I don't believe Siberian Khatru song is on that album so there you go.

I was planning to so yeah not letting this one slip. Fragile was pretty awesome already and I think this one is believed to be even better!

The one I sent is interesting bcuz the vocals are actually on the ambient half of the track for some reason, which makes that track hard to listen to on its own but really adds to the post-metal half when both are played together

Great! :tup And yeah, I'd say so. Title track is one of the classic prog epics.

I'm really getting ahead of myself but I just want to make sure it's clear, even though by the format it should be quite obvious, but with the final round I will not reset the scores, otherwise the 8th and 9th round would be entirely useless.

I'm not gonna go with the exact scores you end up with though, but depending on your score difference some will start with a bonus compared to others.

Not sure on the exact amount of points yet, I want to scale it properly so that it's not too unbalanced. For that I first have to settle on a scoring system for the final round, after that I'll reveal whatever formula or system I'm using for this. Either way everyone in the finals should have a fair chance at winning, unless for some reason there's an immense gap between the top 4 and #5.

But yeah, splent, I'm surprised no one else took note by now that Rush wasn't banned. I always make sure to carefully scan the host's banned list for low-hanging fruit opportunities (and opportunities to send reunion-era Maiden).
