It's OK, I think it's probably my least favorite of their work so far (still working through the discography). At the moment "Luciferian Towers" is my favorite record.

It's been a while (only listened to it when it came out), but I recall just... nothing particularly interesting happening. Felt like Post Rock / Ambient by the numbers to me, which isn't what attracted me to the band in the first place - their debut is my favorite record of all time, and that atmosphere is just something else. Ever since Lift Your Skinny Fists they've slowly stripped down their sound and what made them so unique in the first place.

I'm not a fan of Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend! either - the two drone pieces do nothing for me and the two long pieces showcase a lot of the characteristics I don't like about modern GY!BE: a very muddy, claustrophobic sound, overly drawn out, and lacking in the gentleness or sonic experimentation of their first couple albums. I prefer Luciferian Towers too because at least that has Anthem For No State which is pretty good.

Such a great album, seems they have a lot of records and they're all quality - I think I've found the next band to do a full discography dive deep.

Miami is quite different from the cactus one, but still pretty good - closer to the late 90s sounds I dig a lot.

I was a bit hesitant on Pasto, but it's pretty good too! Lyrics are kinda dumb, and it sounds early 90s af, but I like it.

Yeah I'm def doing a discography deep dive on these guys - they've got 13 studio albums, and many EPs and Outtakes compilations so it's gonna take a while.
