22. Coheed and Cambria – The Second Stage Turbine Blade (2002): Every single song on here is incredible. Yes, even Hearshot Kid Disaster. Coheed’s album quality has been generally decreasing since this one, despite what Nick may tell you. This one and In Keeping Secrets are clearly their best albums, with their best song writing and playing. Claudio’s vocals are always something that stood out to me. I never had to adjust to the style of his voice like many seem to have to do to understand what Coheed is all about. He’s really one of my favorite vocalists and guitar players.
Best songs: Neverender, Time Consumer, Junesong Provision, Godsend Conspirator, Everything Evil…. listen to the whole thing… do it.
21. Deftones – White Pony (2000): Extremely underrated band. Their newest album, Diamond Eyes, was in my top 10 albums last year, but this one is even better. These guys have quite a bit of “nu metal” imfluence, but their music is much better than that of Korn and Slipknot. Some of it is quite dark and some of it is energetic, all while being experimental and a bit progressive. This album is fantastic.
Best songs: Digital Bath, Change (In the House of Flies), Passenger (feat. Maynard)
won't be able to update again until monday because I'M SEEING COHEED AGAIN EEEEEEEEEEEE
