it's not a mini epic in any sense either tho so i didn't even really try to hit the other themes

The time restriction on my group's bummed me out. I literally had a song from Zierler called 'No Chorus' that would've been perfect, but it wasn't between 6 and 8 minutes. Does anyone besides Puppies know that Zierler album, btw? I initially sent 'Aggrezzor' but thought it was too obnoxious and all over the place.

Katy... are you talking ESC?  I know that album, but wasn't overly fond of it. Kelly Carpenter is very hit-and-miss for me. I love his voice, but he seems to lend his voice to less that ideal music for my tastes.

I do like Kelly Carpenter but that is an issue I have with a lot of the projects he's been involved with. I keep Zierler in my back pocket to send to prog dogs and fans of super intricate music though. Like, I love the song 'Rainheart' for the first couple minutes but then it goes COMPLETELY off the rails, and most of the songs (including that one) are just too long. Also, Katy

Hey, it fit the theme. That's why I keep it in my back pocket! I couldn't think of much else right away that avoided the typical song structure in 6-8 minutes
