Billie Eilish - When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
I was a bit hesitant to check this out because it's been the current object of Internet armchair music critic hate, but I kinda regret putting it off because so far (half way through) this is a good album. It has a completely unique sound that I haven't heard before, with a lot of really interesting and innovative vocal production throughout. Good songwriting with some catchy tunes, and a wide array of influences ranging from vocal jazz to trap to alternative pop makes this really interesting. Also BASS. SO. MUCH. BASS.
I'm going to echo what Anthony Fantano said and say that the bass is ribbed for my ears' pleasure. It's a really evocative and accurate description of the bass throughout this album. Too early to give a rating, but I'm gonna go for a tentative 4/5.
