Can anyone with a good eye for these kind of things make an extimate of how big the Nomacs could be? they look HUGE!

I think it would be kind of hard to do accurately because the Nomacs are not overlapping any of the buildings, so it's hard to gauge the distance where they are. However I would guess they're meant to be huge.

I'm sorry if this has been posted here before. After I saw the album's cover I was wondering who did the artwork. According to Wikipedia it's a person called Ma Jie.

So I googled the name to see what came up, and I found this:

https://www.behance.net/gallery/23074511/Commercial-project

Look familiar? I'm inclined to say this is official artwork.

Again, if this was posted here before, I'm sorry :p

I am not following you.  Are you saying that you think some of the other pieces in that link could also be official album art?  I so, sure, that is entirely possible.
This might be something the band will release under the "Places" tab on the Astonishing webpage.

Anyone else thinking each of the two disks might have their own separate artwork to them? I mean, DT have previously released separate artwork for each individual song, but it might be cool to also do that for the two disks as well.
Check out the latest concept album “III: The Sparrow & The Architect”, released under my project The Circle of Wonders:

Whoever Ja Mie is they should have him/her design every album cover! I personally love all DT's album covers, but this has to be my favorite since the good ol' days of IAW and Awake ;)

We already know they're huge – the background image on the mini-site has a schematic at the bottom with a human figure standing next to it.

To me they look around 20 meters tall
Edit: I think 20 m is right https://image.e.atlanticrecords.com/lib/fe9d12707467067e76/m/1/580_NoMacS_Sketch.jpg

Anyway the artwork is amazing! Octavarium is probably my favourite, so this could be the second. Maybe there're are too many NOMACs, but the style is really awesome

POWAH

Me likes it

I'm not really into the DT logo as well... Maybe it's the embossed effect on the letters, or the texture. In overall seems ok, pretty decent artwork.

When thinking about the possible scenery for the album, I pictured an old mossy castle atop a mountain in an otherwise wasteland. The cover gives it a lot more modernity. I wonder if the big building in the middle is the Emperor's palace.
