It bothers me that the "s" in NOMACS is capitalized.  In the pluralization of an acronym, the "S" should be lower case.  And if the "S" is part of the acronym, than the "Descent of the NOMACS" means there is just one NOMACS.

It would be a petty grievance, but I'm trying to figure out what NOMACS might stand for, and it matters whether the S is part of the acronym or not.

Also, Emperor Nafaryus has a nice Mona Lisa thing going on.  Cover up the left side of his face, and he looks like an upstanding citizen.  Cover up the right side, and he looks like a disheveled evil villain.

I think he's as charming as Sean Connery.  ;D

That one has nagged at me too. From the emails, NOMACS is plural, rather than the S being part of the acronym and it being singular.

Maybe NOMAC isn't an acronym at all, but actually part of a glorious future where the PC master race has conquered, and Macs are outlawed.

Does the current pattern say that we will get more info this monday or tuesday/wednesday?

Looks like we got tracklist updates on Thursday, Monday, and Thursday, so I'd assume we'll get some more tracks sometime tomorrow if we're following that pattern.

Assuming we have all the tracks for Act I, then we will likely get 3 updates for Act II, if the tracklists have roughly the same number of tracks.

If that's the case, we'll have the complete tracklist for the album by Monday the 23rd.

Of course, the tracklist has been the ONLY major update on the page at all, and we haven't gotten new characters or maps. I doubt we'll get samples of audio or video until closer to New Years, so if we get anymore updates between now and the end of the month, I'd like to see them finish the tracklist first, then introduce more of the map and characters through December, some samples in January, leading up to the eventual release.

I just hope pre-orders pop up before the end of the month.

Can we have a running "what we know" post at the beginning of the thread? :)
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. Why, when there's a completely separate thread for it?

Hoping if there's actually 20 tracks on the first act that they reveal atleast something else beside the 3 track names.  :sadpanda:
people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

Considering how much Windows has been stealing from Linux as of late (or the Windows corporation using Linux-based servers), I would assume the glorious future would see no more PCs as well.  ;)

Loooooooooooooooool.

No. I assume a glorious future would involve being able to actually run software.

But NOMAC only specifically excludes Macs, so I'm sure Linux can continue to have some dank corner somewhere where some sub-human sewer dwellers still use Linux.

Serious scientific research about the design and construction lineage of the NOMACs yielded unexpected findings:

Greetings...
Nef (still not related to the Emperor)

It certainly reminds a bit of Portal... I thought the NOMAC looked vaguely like a Portal Personality Core  ;D

Or better, a cross between this:

and this:

Definitely inspired by videogames.

DT pliiis, it's monday, let us revive this thread ; D

If these two posts represent the times of the updates, the last two (although the first likely also) came quite late in the day, at least in my timezone.

Oh yea - there are some new song titles up now.

Holy crap. More Act One tracks!  :omg:

1. Descent of the NOMACS
2. Dystopian Overture
3. The Gift of Music
4. The Answer
5. A Better Life
6. Lord Nafaryus
7. A Savior in the Square
8. When Your Time Has Come
9. Act of Faythe
10. Three Days
11. The Hovering Sojourn
12. Brother, Can You Hear Me?
13. A Life Left Behind
14. Ravenskill
15. Chosen
16. A Tempting Offer
17. Digital Discord

There's definitely going to be a few interludes there. I'm beginning to doubt the possibility of an epic and we also may not even have a track more than 10 mins. If this bodes well for the overall focus and coherency of the album, bring it on!  :metal

That's about four and seven hours from now respectively, so it will probably come today. We just have to be patient.

Okay, that's really weird. I just cleared my cache and cookies, and tried a different browser, and I'm still just seeing the 17 tracks in Act 1. I definitely believe everyone, but I can't figure out why the update isn't showing.

EDIT: Of course, the very next refresh shows the update. Oh well, lol.
