Are you putting forward 'fucking finally' as a guess?

Yes.  Yes I am.  Especially since it wasn't Luke's.

Round 7 Impressions

Let's get some impressions out.  Undecided if I leave these and follow up tomorrow with some more as I know some of these will change.

The whole vibe is different but really quite enjoyed it.

lonestar - I enjoyed the chorus, not sure the rest is for me, but fits the positive vibe.

TAC - You may have struck a nerve with the them in the most roundabout way.

Jingle - Fucking finally!

Another out of my wheelhouse but it did have a nice feel.

Stadler - Just a great classic song.  Never been into this band but this is great.

Pretty impressive melodeath here.

King - I hate this band, but this was surprisingly really good.

Lonk - Yeah, this is fun and catchier than I thought it would be off the bat.

Gotta admit, I really like the 80's pop vibe here.  Really comforting vocals too.

A bit of a stretch for the theme but for a genre that's usually hit or miss, this was pretty solid.

twosuitluke - Holy shit, I thought this was quite outstanding!  Is the hype actually real?  Influences are blatant, but fuck it.

Indi - That solo section is worth waiting for, not sure on the rest.

Evermind - I can tell you were struggling with the theme but pretty good prog metal and strong vocals.  is it enough though?

Puppies - This one I'm struggling with, need more listens, this may be a bit too wimpy even with my guard down.

Nice playing but this side of the instrument has never done for me.

I'm just not sure what the point of this is unfortunately.

Despite the love I'm not sure I've ever heard much from this band.  Not what I expected.  Catchy chorus though.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

It was fine for what it was I guess but went with the song that offered a bit more of something different to what I know.

Love to hear that actually... It's funny cause that song is a slight divergence from Nemophila's straightforward metalcore styling as well.

Moon Safari is 10lbs of awesome in a 5lb bag.  But that takes some serious stones to send to Kade.

Let's finish this, Leroy Jenkins style

Crow: The whole vibe is different but really quite enjoyed it.

rom: Another out of my wheelhouse but it did have a nice feel.

Lacus: Gotta admit, I really like the 80's pop vibe here.  Really comforting vocals too.

Reaper: Nice playing but this side of the instrument has never done for me.

So, I've mentioned before about how my last two roulettes I've never really followed up on anything too closely.  There has been a few bands I've picked up years later but for some reason, going back and following up straight after hasn't been a thing.  Time was obviously a factor too back then.  Spotify now obviously takes a lot of the problems out too, so thinking about how I'm thinking about how I'm going to do it with the volume of what's been sent.

So, I want to spread the listening across everyone and have just listed the band (some a couple as I haven't decided yet) that I'll most probably check out first after the roulette has finished.  May change based on the last two rounds but this is what I'm thinking at the moment;

TAC - Walls of Blood/Noor
Jingle - Damnations Day
Crow - Astolat
Indiscipline - Vanderberg
King - Alice in Chains
Lonestar - Lovebites
Puppies - Darkest Hour/Manticora
Lonk - Rivers of Nihil
Evermind - Xaon/Hamfred
Reaper - Fair to Midland
Litho - The Offering
Ariich - Andy Gillion
twosuitsluke - Enslaved
Sacul - Obsidian Kingdom
Dr. DTVT - Lorna Shore
Stadler - U.K
romdrums - Panic Division
Shadow Ninja - Beast in Black

Not sure how I'll tackle after that but will start with one album per participant to give everyone some love.

Lonestar - Lovebites

I've really taken to Lovebites. Their music has a Helloween flare to it. Melodic power metalish but ballsy.
The singer can get a bit tiring after a while, but they're a great band.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Yeah, musically they're borderline flawless, but I agree Asami is the weakest link (just don't mention that to hardcore Lovebites fans lol)... can't wait to see them in September.

Kade, if you're picking one album, from Lovebites I'd highly suggest Electric Pentagram...that's been on regular rotation for me for a few weeks now, and it's just amazing.

Thanks RJ perfect, will start with that one, exactly what I'm looking for with my post.  Any suggestions from anyone will take on board.

I did mention the vocals being the weakest point but they weren't a deal breaker, even though they were female.  ;D
