I don't live in a recreational state.

Even if you did, not sure it would be cheaper.  The place I've been buying edibles from is an illegally operated storefront in NYC.  And it's not like it's discrete about it, so that's why I don't mind openly talking about it. NYC has a big problem with unlicensed shops almost on every street corner.  But the shop I go to has very good product with good prices.  I still haven't found a better bang for buck. 

I'm okay with the price I pay, half a gummy does more than enough so I kind of win on that front.
Nothing beats the real thing, though.

Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) is a cannabis extract intended for oral ingestion or topical use. RSO is very potent in small doses. Recommended starting dose is the size of a half grain of short dry rice. One 0.5mL syringe contains about 30 to 40 doses of this size.

I've found that I never feel anything off smoking or vaping. My body seems to require high doses so I use high dose gummies and RSO concentrate. That stuff is great.

When I get to that point I just quit smoking for a while. Doesn't take long to lose your tolerance. In my case when I return it only takes a hit or two to get me pretty stoned, and I do my best to leave it at that point for as long as possible.

Never heard of RSO myself, but even with my high tolerance. If I come home from work having abstained for the day, I get pretty baked off one or two hits.  My issue is a day like yesterday, a lazy day at home when I smoke in the morning and then end up smoking throughout the day and never achieving that same high I had from my first hit in the morning.

So they just opened a dispensary near my house finally.  Going to check it out today.  The menu online is weak and on the expensive side, but I think that's expected for a new opening and it looks like you have to order online and then pick up.  Placed an order for a 7G of a sativa and 2.5G hybrid in 5 small J's (going to a concert tonight) for a total of $114.

They give you a little tin can thingy that has 5 small joints with 0.5G of bud in each of them.  Typically they sell 1G joints, but I think those are too big for me.  Maybe if I was smoking with a large group of people that would be fine, but the smaller J's work best for me and my usage. Something like this although this is not the same product I bought:

When they first started opening around my area, things were expensive as well, and while prices haven't come down as much as I'd like, they have come down a bit.

As for ordering online, I prefer it that way.  The inventory at the place I go to fluctuates a lot.  They always have what I need, but I still have to make decisions regarding quantity, variety, etc., and I like being able to order from a menu and just pick it up at my convenience.  Obviously this only works if the online menu is connected in real-time to the store, which it is, so everything works out.

Did anyone see that the DEA finally agreed to take weed out of schedule I and will move it to schedule III?

Although it would be nice if they just federally legalized it, this is actually pretty huge for me as my job has federal funding and I could have run into issues despite having the medical card if ever drug tested, so with it under schedule III it constitutes as a medical prescription across the board now, so that puts my mind at ease a little.

Cool. I thought they were only moving it to schedule II, which was still silly. S-IV would have been better, but this is still a nice improvement.

Just picked up my goods.  Store is kind of shit, but it is brand new and was empty.  They had to turn away some guy because his ID was expired was the most interesting thing.  But this place is just a 5 minute drive from me so very nice to have the option.  I'll have to try the goods next....
