I can list like a dozen bassists that I actually like. After that, I'm just listing guys for no reason.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.
Quote from: lonestar on February 17, 2024, 05:20:20 PMI got 4 female bassists right off the top of my head, maybe more, one who may crack my top 5. I know, you all are shocked.Pretty sure I know who two are.

The only female bassist I can think of having listened to much (off the top of my head) is D'arcy from Smashing Pumpkins, and I think Billy Corgan actually played a lot of the bass on those albums early albums, so maybe I haven't listened to her much.
I have at least two on my broader consideration list,...

Carol Kaye, Esperanza Spalding, Ida Haukland, Jennifer Young, Jo Bench, Vanja Slajh...
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now?

The only woman bassist I can name is Kip Winger.
Just popping in to say Luke, you were right.

Zydar is my new hero. I just laughed so hard I nearly shat.

His basslines and the grooves on those early Kiss albums are just great.
