Also, some stats now that (almost) every submission is in.
Interesting how consistent a lot of this is across the board, although overall the total length of music submitted has generally trended down as the roulette went on. Interestingly the number of songs doesn't really correlate very strongly with that, although I haven't run a linear regression yet to get a line of best fit and correlation coefficient.
The standard deviation for submission length has also stayed quite steady, excepting for round 8, which possibly indicates an equation error, or hopefully a dataset that technically includes a 0 minute submission at the moment. A little over 37 hours of music submitted in total in this roulette, which maps to about 149 hours of listening for four full listens. That obviously doesn't include listening while composing writeups or the more substantial amount of listening I've done after the round is over and I'm free to listen to my favorites as much as I want without being unfair to the others.
I'd still like to give each submission a few tags (metal/nonmetal, different subgenres, song length, American/non) to chart against the score and see what kind of intelligence we can glean, apart from the fact that I like metalcore, power metal, and simple indie songs. I'll probably end up following up on this mainly after the roulette is over and I've got all the data to sift through. I'll do the now-popular updates on stuff I've checked out further as well, so that someone other than Rich will give a shit about my stat posts.
