Well I've been here for about three weeks and essentially nothing about the job is what was discussed in my interview. I was told it'd be day shit only 40 hours a week. I'm pushing 60 hours a week and suddenly I'm on nights. I've already brought this up with my boss and they automatically moved me to nights because my counter part whom they just hired has kids and doesn't want to work nights.

I see a lot of issues already with schedules being changed last minute without warning, it's not really what I signed up for, and if I just accept it then it'll set the trend of them walking all over me. I have enough in savings to last almost a year without work so I think I'll just take some time off, pass my CCNA and move on.

Sounds like a good move. You can't take that crap right off the bat like that.

I have two interviews tomorrow. I am so fucking nervous. I mean, I have a lot of self-confidence, but I haven't done an interview in 11 years.

Once you get your CCNA, you will definitely get job offers, especially if you have experience. I get them every day still. You should be able to study for and pass in a few months, especially if you're taking time off from work. Don't forget that they just updated the exams again so the new books are out.

As far as your job now, if you're really unhappy then just leave. Maybe you can find something part-time just to keep busy, if you want.

I felt the same way coming into this job that I"m at now. I hadn't done an interview in 6 years but I did two, and I got two job offers. I'm sure your going to kick ass Hef.

I think I'll get a part-time IT job or tech job or something to stay busy. I heard about the new exams, and I just bought my new (now old) text book
