Didn't we already have this huge spat over the "fact" that IT is only around 19 minutes...?

What if I told you the track is all quantum and stuff? That it can actually both be 22 minutes long and 19 minutes long? :P

Ala easter egg!  Thanks for the confirmation, noxon!   ;)

Did you really need confirmation? It said easter egg right on the board in the video!

So the TRACK is 22 minutes, but the SONG is only 19... I wonder if the silence-gap is only a minute or so, as is usual, which gives us about a 2-minute easter egg!

I remember how on Exodus's Exhibit A: The Atrocity Exhibitions, on the track 'Bedlam 1.2.3' it was listed as 18 minutes long, but the song was only about 8 or so minutes long; and around 2 minutes left, a banjo version of 'Bonded By Blood' came on  :lol

Now seeing as the song is still 19 minutes long, I'll be thankful for only having to wait a minute or so for the easter egg, but I'd love it if they did something goofy of similar vein like Exodus did.

The stream now prevents me from listening to it. It says that they won't let it be played in my region. :(

:justjen: Mastodon's Pendulous Skin is 22:15 long, and it features 15 minutes of silence before it goes into a hidden track. So maybe IT will be another short and accessible song ;)

They were posted on a venezuelan thread from someone with an advance copy. Noxon then confirmed them.

The only problem with snippets is that they give me a VERY small section of each song to judge, and usually the rest of the song ends up being completely different. I remember people were judging the snippets from ADTOE all OVER the place about how they were crap this, crap that, yada yada. And then all those criticisms were thrown out the window, at least imo, when I heard the full songs. I was like "Oh! Yeah, that snippet was from a totally different mellow section of the song"

People did consider it, but I think the general consensus became that it must be something hidden in one of the songs (or at the end), because there were more titles on that whiteboard than there are titles on the final track listing

Would the 'easter egg' be a joking kind of thing? If so, I cant see DT doing that, they are rather serious with albums

I could definitely see them doing that. They're very well known for throwing in bits of well-known melodies in the middle of live songs just for fun. Given, that's live, not in the studio. But even in studio they do fun easter egg type stuff...one of my favorites is a very strange (augmented, I believe, musically speaking) version of the jingle bells melody in Octavarium. Don't know the time marker off the top of my head but it's definitely there!

I'd say it's just an illusion due to the shininess of the new logo, most likely.

Dat single....overall fantastic. The riffage is excellent. Abit of The Dance Of Eternity feels at the end with the JR/JP duel haha. Labrie also sounds excellent here. The track invokes for me strong feelings of some Octavarium era stuff. Overall, I bloody love it. As usual, the single is usually the most accessible track...so I'm freaking out for the rest. This should hopefully well exceed ADTOE. Hoping Illumination Theory takes us to ultra epic heights.

You know DT fans are picky when they get upset about a frickin' logo being *ever so slightly taller* than normal.

:lol

Some bands change their font on every album - like Green Day for instance. It doesn't bother me as long as it's not Comic Sans :lol

But if you look at the Enemy Inside artwork, they use the old logo. They didn't change the logo, they just used a different looking one for the DT12 cover. Relax guys.

Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.
