I remember Brothers in Arms being one my favorite CDs when it came out...well actually I had it on cassette.  :lol   I tried listening to it again last year and the same intrigue wasn't there. Don't get me wrong. It's not terrible and I would certainly give it another try. There are just so many things on my "Listen To" list that I haven't really tried again. Spotify is dangerous in that aspect. You get band recommendations based on what you like and with prog there are so many undiscovered bands around that the list grows more than it lessens.  Maybe I'll try it again this weekend while I'm snowed in.   :)

Just listened to that last week. Awesome debut album, but it´s totally clear that Ice Cube was the strongest creative force lyrically, while Dr. Dre was the strongest creative force musically. The others in that group..... hm.
From the ocean comes the notion that the realise lies in rhythm. The rhythm of vision is dancer, and when you dance you´re always on the one. From the looking comes to see, wondrous realise real eyes....

Whaddya think of Nomadic?

Man I keep telling myself this album is good/great, and then every time I listen to it again I remember it's not just that, it's the #1 album of 2015 IMO, Casey is a living legend.

Yup, this is pretty good. Although some of the brostep-esque tracks underwhelm me, the heavier ones are excellent.

It has a cool solo, but it's probably one of my least favs on the album, but that's just because there are too many awesome tracks on this album. It's hard to compete with the entire 1. - 5. run along with Custer and The Negative One.

The Negative One is one of my least favorites  :lol but to be honest I should revisit the entire album because I'm not that familiar with the whole thing.

No way, man, Nomadic is one of their catchiest tunes ever, the chorus alone sells it in a big way.  :metal

Just listened to Lodger by David Bowie for the second time today, I'm currently spinning the new Steven Wilson EP, which is solid.

Hell yea. It's probably my favorite song from the latest album, that chorus is what hooked me right away, remind me a lot of the Vol. 3 days.

I'm finally getting into the dear hunter. And I'm kind of pissed at myself that I didn't do this sooner. I listened to something by them a long time ago and for some reason just plain didn't like it, but I'm loving this right now. Now I have a lot of music by them to hear.

The Dear Hunter is amazing. Act IV is a big return to form after a not-as-good-but-still-cool Migrant. If you haven't checked out Act II and The Color Spectrum yet, do your ears a favor and do so right now.

Not a fan of the vocals. Though, I pretty much haven't liked anything of theirs that wasn't with Ozzy or Dio. I didn't like everything with the both of them either. The first 6 Sabbath albums are great. After that it's hit or miss.

Ayreon - The Human Equation: Meh, it had its moments but I didn't like this album after 1 listen. Will probably revisit sometime because it's like one of the highest regarded albums around here, but I'm not sold on this yet.

Beyond the Bridge - The Old Man and the Spirit: Dang, this album is really good. Has a lot of good softer songs to offer as well, mainly the ones where the female singer is the main focus of the song, they're catchy. The Struggle I'm still a bit weirded out by, but overall this is solid.

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon: Overall, not bad! Love the grooviness of this album, mainly with the more rock-oriented songs like Money.

Obsidian Kingdom - Mantiis: Decided to mix it up a bit, so I literally laid down listening to this whole 14-sided piece. It had really beautiful melancholic vibes and also straightup heavy/fucked up shit, and the transitions between songs/sections are seamless. And above all, a very creative album.

That concludes my first batch of roulette albums, some amazing stuff, some albums I had set unreachable expectations for, but in the end the quality is what matters. I'll probably end up buying as much as I can with my limited budget, which won't be more than 5-10. I think I'll try the Thank You Scientist album next, heard some more songs off that album through friends and I absolutely love it.

@Walrus: fantastic album, better late than never, you're in for a treat dude.

I didn't like THE at all after my first listen. It had to grow on me a lot, but now I would rank it in my top 10 albums probably.

I pretty much like every Sabbath album except for Born Again. Something about that one just does not click with me.

Maybe it's the vocals?  I think that's the only one with Ian Gillan, right?

To me, there just aren't enough good songs, or actual songs for that matter. Disturbing The Priest, to me, is an All Time Top 10 Sabbath tune across all eras.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

You know... I'm gonna stop checking new music by now (that includes roulette entries, sorry), and finally get deeper into some of fav artists' discographies - I have like 200 albums to check before exploring new territories. It should be fun. Oh, and this might not be Deathconsciousness, but it's pretty good.

I have that chastain on vinyl. Gave it a go because I loved his instrumental stuff but it was pretty shit.
