I prefer playing solo (and the few fellowship quests I've done I've actually completed on my own :P), if that helps. I like the Champion I'm training right now.

Also, what Race works best with each Class? I'm sure it's a factor

There are only a couple classes where it matters. For most the differences are so small you really should just pick whichever you think looks best. So the answer is undoubtedly hobbits.
Cole: "Ow I just got hit in the balls"
Me: "How?"
Cole: "Well you know when you try to scratch your balls, and you scratch too hard?
I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

I'll probably do an Elf/Hobbit Warden, Dwarf Guardian, or something.

At this point, trying to level up has been looooooooooooong. I'm still 5000 away from level 19. I want to be 20 so I can get myself a bow goddammit

wi-fi from my own hotel. Download speed varies from 50kb/s to 150kb/s
I'm going with standard because if this actually does play it barely will be able to. Only 512MB of RAM on this thing although I've been thinking of actually getting more for it (When I can afford that). Processor is 1600Mhz Intel Pentium while my video card is Mobility Radeon 9000, not sure of how good/bad that is though.

Its now at 98% :caffeine:

Just made a second character, a burglar. Apparantly I now have to pay 7 euros per bag to unlock the last 2 bags.

Yeah. I can't wait until I become a subscriber so I can have more. Although my bag is mostly Hides and shit that I've yet to sell.

I actually haven't even bought all that much. I have like, 850 Silver :lol

Yeah! o/

I don't know why, but Burglars seem to be the least played class on the US servers. I wish there were more running around.

Buying it from the store gives you a usable item in your inventory that gives you the skill.

Oh like my bags? There's a section of my character panel, in the skills section, for mounts, but it says I don't have a skill. Maybe I've been looking in the wrong place then :lol

Yeah, doesn't just teach it to you. It gives you an item in your inventory which you have to use, then you get the riding skill. It confused me when I first did it too.  :)

I was gonna make a Sigz joke, but I'm too lazy to make it worth it.

I'm probably gonna watch the trilogy soon with Volk (haven't seen the first one in ages). I'll have to make him join this.

Apparently, when I purchased TP points I upgraded to Premium status, which gave me an extra character slot.

So I made myself a hobbit burglar

Named him Myung

I was stunned the name wasn't taken. And I wish I had thought of this earlier because I could have named my 5 characters such:

Myung
LaBrie
Petrucci
Portnoy
Rudess

And it would have been fucking glorious

I'm assuming the river is annoying. I don't know. I still haven't progressed that far :P

All I know is that I feel like my Champions damage dealt has stayed the same despite the fact that I've leveled up like, 5 levels in the past week

I'm at level 37 now and I've pretty much finished all the solo quests in North Downs and Lone Lands.  I'm also on book 4 in the epic quest.  I could purchase the Trollshaws next but I've been debating getting Evendim first to do all of the solo quests there.   Anybody, have any suggestions on whether I should buy the quests in Evendim or not?
When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep just like my grandfather, and not like the screaming passengers in his car!

Hm, tough call. I enjoy Evendim more (it's absolutely beautiful), but it also has a ton of running around since the area is pretty large and there aren't many horse routes. A lot of the rewards you'll get in Evendim will have reduced stats, which will be made up for with usable effects (for example, let's say a Trollshaws ring gives 10 Will and 10 Fate. An Evendim ring might give 10 Will and a usable buff that lasts 30 minutes and gives 20 Fate). Evendim is also easier to solo, I'd say.

Not sure but I'm guessing it's going to be the "centerpiece" of the Yule Festival, like what the Haunted Burrow was for the Fall Festival.

Good god, I forgot about the ridiculous amount of running around you have to do in Part 2 of Volume 1.

Here's a typical Chapter:

1) Run to a new area, picking up horse routes along the way.
2) Notice that the switf travel routes are locked behind reputation.
3) Talk to someone in the main hub, do a few quests nearby. Turn in the quest.
4) Run to the opposite end of the zone to talk to a new person, unlocking horse routes. Find out that you can't even use the horse route near this person without having reputation.
5) Run to a nearby NPC that's behind a large group of enemies you have to fight through.
6) Run back to the last person
7) Run back to the main hub on the opposite end of the zone
8) RUN RIGHT BACK TO THE PERSON YOU WERE JUST AT, ON THE OTHER END OF THE ZONE
9) Kill 20 nearby mobs
10) Go back to the person at step 8
11) GO BACK TO THE MAIN HUB ON THE OTHER END OF THE ZONE
12) GO BACK TO THE PERSON YOU WERE JUST AT
13) FIGHT YOUR WAY THROUGH THE NPC AT STEP 5 AGAIN
14) Go back to the last person again
15) Instance, now you get to do shit
16) Go back to the main hub
17) Haul your ass back to Rivendell, and fuck you

And don't even get me started on the one I'm doing now.

edit: The good news is that my Minstrel's soon done with Volume 1 and will then be heading into Moria.
