I was thinking the same thing.

This guy asked some great questions!

JM says something interesting about the album length of I&W, where he talks about listening to an album on your way to work or school and having a sense of completion.
And I think that's an issue with The Astonishing. Unless the TACs drive to Florida again, I cannot ever imagine having an opportunity to hear it in its entirety.

This video was on the side queue.

WTF? :lol

If you edited out the silence, half the runtime would be gone. :)
-
I like his hint of how the next album would most likely shape up.

Or alternatively, you can always raise the speed to 1.25 or 1.5 :P

Yeah, that sounded promising!

I do that on loads of YT videos, saves a fair bit of time :lol

Basically he says they have discussed doing the next album in more of a collaborative way (in comparison to TA). He said more like what they did on ToT, where they all got in a room together and jammed and wrote.
Also - really cool interview, JMX speaks slowly but he's clearly always been very measured in his words and I found the interview very engaging.

We did a forty minute interview with JM and JP in Trondheim, and i'm in the process of editing it. I also have a 20 minute interview with JLB from Oslo. Both focusing on the 25th anniversary tour and such, of course. It'll be released on the DT World youtube and facebook pages...

Stoked. Really hope they know how much we love the interviews!

That would be good. They have 4 virtuosos in the band. Seems silly to exclude 2 of them.

Thanks for posting this!

Nice! Always dig your interviews. In fact, I think I still have a few on my ipod and when I have it on shuffle I typically don't change it even though I've heard them a few times before.
