DAMN IT! It was only about the Beatles being avaliable on iTunes now. :lol

I understand it's a big deal as they have NEVER been on any digital service whatsoever before. But I was hoping for something bigger... :yeahright

I would definitely pay a monthly few for access to that library. I already pay 9 bucks a month for Bear Share, which is the exact same thing, just on a PC.

That's it? Seriously? Whatever.

I'm sure streaming will be in iTunes someday soon. Until then, I'm happy using other services.

Steve Jobs actually has an intrest in typography, no joke.

And I mean on one hand, it was only one ad on their website for one day, but their marketing (which is obviously great considering how much of the ehh products they sell) could be getting a little too 'boy who cired wolf.'

I'm glad we've moved past bashing anything Apple does and onto bashing things that Apple might ever do.

Doesn't Apple realize that noone wants a record playing toaster? The vinyl is just going to melt. What a fucking moron Jobs is for hypothetically maybe also thinking of a ridiculous idea I had!

iPad 2 begins shipping from Foxconn in February for April launch?

Quote
The source is DigiTimes so take this rumor for what you will. Nevertheless, the Taiwanese tattle house is citing sources at local component makers claiming that Foxconn has been notified that it must ship Apple's "iPad 2" within the next 100 days or as early as the end of February. DigiTimes says that Apple's plan to start mass production in January had to be pushed because of ongoing firmware testing. Note that this doesn't mean that the second generation iPad will ship to consumers in February since Apple would be stockpiling units ahead of a global launch in April, according to DigiTimes. The original iPad was announced in January and began US shipments in April before starting its relentless global march in May.

I still don't understand how the hell iPad even sold in the first place. It had all the markings of a pointless product yet still flew off the shelves.

Take the iPhone, make it 5 times bigger, and there you have it. The iTampon.
I hope the iPad fails :P
Looking this from a year ago, boy if we were wrong thinking it was going to fail. Dammit!

Well logic would dictate that it should've failed. Apple essentially just released a completely useless product and millions of people ate it up while being completely clueless about what it was supposed to do. The fact that it is selling so well just goes to show how stupid consumers as a whole are.

It's not that bad of a product, actually. Granted, I didn't buy the first one but played with my brother's, but after months passed I could tell the utility of this product. Why I didn't buy other tablets that were superior before? Marketing, I suppose. Apple knows how to sell their products, and makes you see that you can change your .

When they announce the iPad 2 I think that this time I will consider buying this one. Also, thanks that my BlackBerry is just not working good -and in six months I can have an upgrade- I will consider the iPhone 5 as well.

I don't want to always be the Apple defender here, but whatever. What are these magical other tablets that are so much better than the iPad? The only example I've ever seen cited is the HP tablet that doesn't exist.

The problem with the ipad isn't that it's useless, it's that it's insanely overpriced for what it is, and that's actually an important difference; people overpay for an otherwise useful product all the time.

Right, I think there are some people who overly criticize them as much as there are people who overly praise them. They are genius marketers, nobody stands inline overnight to buy five of any new product that Dell makes. How is that something Apple should be blamed for?

Plus while every product has their fair share of snobs the Apple ones are seemingly more numerous and the least knowledgeable of all partially stemming from a need to justify spending so much for whatever Apple product they have. I have a friend that loves to brag about how rock solid his MacBook and Mac Pro are yet I have to explain stuff like combining PDF files in Adobe and where certain features of Photoshop like hue/saturation are to him, stuff it should take the average computer literate person 30 seconds to find/do.

I think I was trying to go with the "Apple at least takes chances in mass producing products that have been tried before by other people -or at least designed- and making it a success". I agree with Sigz that everything they sell are overpriced.
