What are your favorites of these Ayreon songs?

I fully expect a series of "how could you leave out ____?" posts, but it is what it is. :biggrin:  Some of my favorites were left off as well, so there is that.

Nothing included from The Theory of Everything or The Human Equation.  I thought it would be more fun this way.

Waking Dreams and Beneath the Waves. Beneath the Waves is the favorite, easily. The rest of these are okay... Across the Rainbow Bridge especially, but only the first two would be 'favorites' out of all these.

EDIT: Somehow missed The Sixth Extinction when I looked over the list  :facepalm: yup, that's another favorite...

Interesting selections. 01001101 is my favorite of the albums included here, but I think the best songs on Flight of the Migrator are some of Ayreon's very best songs. In addition to two from each of those albums, I also took my favorite songs from The Source and The Dream Sequencer

At first glance, the below, though Into the Black Hole could probably replace 3 of these.

Shooting Company, Beneath the Waves, and Sixth Extinction are probably my favorites out of those, but I don't think there's a single song on there that I dislike.

All of them are at the very least good, but oddly enough Isis and Osiris is for me is perhaps the weakest of the bunch (save for Computer Eyes, wich is the weakest by a wide margin for me), yet it is such a fan favourite. Still a good track though (especially the Star One live version), but it was never a favourite of mine on the Electric Castle album. But then again, I prefer the second disc of that one and most seem to regard the first disc as the better one.

But save for Sixth and Dawn I could swap the others for other tracks easily. Sixth Extinction to me is the most epic Ayreon track that has the best elements of modern Ayreon and Dawn of A Million Souls has one of the best Ayreon vocal performances and a fantastic solo to elevate the song even further.
