I've been watching random episodes of the Twilight Zone. Seems kind of fitting. With ~160 of them there's actually plenty that I haven't seen, or at least don't remember at all, and a lot of the lesser known ones are really good. It's been a great way to kill 25 minutes at a time.

Started watching Colony the other day, it's decent but gets better I feel.

Really cool show but be warned.....it never got a proper send off. It was cancelled after the third season. But, don’t let that stop ya. It’s a fun watch.
Oh damn, that's a shame. Actually didn't know that. I'm not suprised though, new sci-fi shows in general don't survive for very long unless they really blow up.

I really liked S1 and S2.  Didn't watch S3 live, as it was in the midst of us house hunting by the time it aired in Canada.  Then when it got around to being on Netflix, we were in the midst of packing/moving.  Then I found out it was cancelled, and lost interest in investing my time just to be let down/disappointed.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

Just finished ‘Dark’. Pretty cool show. Thus far they’ve handled the time travel pretty good. It’s an interesting web they are weaving but they haven’t caught themselves yet. Curious to see how S3 goes.

Is that good?  I like the books a lot, and I'm a fan of Titus Welliver, but I've never watched it.

(By the way, I have Titus' kid's leather jacket in my basement.)

EDIT:  So I read that back and that very much looks like the confession of a crime.  No.  My kid went to school with Titus' kid and gave her his jacket.  It is all - as I understand it - legit.

General Hospital

I used to be a big General Hospital watcher. My mom and I would watch it together. She'd tape it (on a VHS  :lol) and then when I'd come home from my restaurant job at 2:00 in the morning we'd watch it. Vanessa Marcil....that's what got me hooked. I walked in the living room one day and saw her on the TV and asked my mom...."Who is that?" She said....."That's Brenda"  (her character name)   Next thing you know I'm watching religiously.  :lol

Bosch is absolutely fantastic.  Titus Welliver is the perfect Harry Bosch and the rest of the cast is excellent as well.  They did update the character(s) for the 2010's - he's a bit younger and is an Iraqi war vet rather than a Vietnam vet.  Aside from that, the character is really the same.

The seasons draw from 2-3 books at a time as Harry juggles a case or two over 10 episodes.

And now SHE's in her mid-70's.  Did you know she has a twin sister?

I remember liking her when she'd pop up on other stuff, but my soap opera viewing was limited to those that were on ABC:  All My Children and One Life to Live (and sometimes also General Hospital).

I did not know that!   I think she actually still looks good, but for a while there, she was right up there with Jaclyn Smith as most beautiful woman in the world.

I'll be watching this after I get through the latest season of Better Call Saul which I just started last night.

Also just finished Hand of God on Prime which was decent.

As I noted (and I'm sure you'll gather) I wasn't watching DooL for the deep plots.  If memory serves, Charlotte Ross (later of NYPD Blue) was on there, too. Hang on, I'll see if I can wrack my brain for one of the male actors... ;)

I have to throw in "for someone who's 72," but that's just me.  Also, you can have Jaclyn; I always preferred Kate Jackson (Jackson > Smith > Hack > Fawcett > Roberts > Ladd).

Well, yeah, for 72.

That's an interesting list.   Shelley Hack landed higher than I would have expected, and Cheryl Ladd, lower.  Me:  Smith > Roberts > Jackson > Ladd > Fawcett > Hack.    Kate Jackson and Cheryl Ladd being in a virtual tie.  That wasn't really my show, though. I was more of an Emergency! guy.

I was not quite 9 when Angels premiered and 13 when it last aired, my opinions are certainly all after-the-fact, and I'd be surprised if I've seen more than 2-3 episodes all the way through.  Emergency! was definitely on my list of childhood shows (for reasons I can't now articulate, I recall think Randolph Mantooth was a hilarious name).

All of this 70s TV talk led me to look at some episodes of Battle of the Network Stars.  Was there anything better than Gabe Kaplan in his kayak, Jaclyn Smith running past everyone on the track, and Catherine Bach in the dunk tank?!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KyxkNsIo-s

They tried to bring it back a few years ago, but it was things like "sex symbols" against "variety stars" and it fell pretty flat.

Since there’s going to be a new live action series of Cowboy Bebop coming up fairly soon, I decided to try to show the original show to my wife so that she can see what all the buzz is about. She really doesn’t like anime that much, but she’s willing to give it a try.

She was lukewarm on the first three episodes, but I’m gonna see if she warms up to it.

If she isn't sold after episode 5 then she might not really dig the rest.

Found I Love Lucy on Hulu. So now I'm watching that at night when I'm going to bed (or should be going to bed, rather). Used to watch this and a bunch of 70s sitcoms as a kid. ILL is still great. Haven't seem some of these episodes since I was a little kid.

Better Call Saul wrapped on Monday, so that's done until the final season. Dave's season finale is next week, I think, so that'll be over. And then Westworld season 3 ends the week after that. Jeeze. Gonna have to start His Dark Materials and Dark this weekend.

That's one of the few male actors besides Jack Wagner and John Aniston (both of whom I know from outside soap operas) that I can name:  Drake Hogestyn.

I have a picture of my wife that actually resembles that picture of Deidre Hall.  I'll ask her if I can post it.

Yeah, but she's still really pretty.  I'm a sucker for a pretty face so I can overlook it.  :)
