A Fool's Paradise is probably my third favourite SX song overall, so I definetely share the sentiment.

A Fool's Paradise is my favorite song of SX. Makes me wonder why they didn't play it live more.

Paradise Lost is a pretty fantastic album

And (in my opinion) so much better than Iconoclast it's not even funny.

Seven and The Sacrifice didn't really click with me until about two weeks ago, but now they are without a doubt amongst my favourite tracks on the album (along with Revelation, Eve Of Seduction and the title track). Seven's chorus is unbelievably awesome, and The Sacrifice is so damn beautiful

If you can find it used, yeah. Great performances, but lacking variety. I love V, but half the album is played. They should have put some more older songs in their place.

I agree, and Seven is my favorite track. It doesn't seem to get as much notoriety as it should.

Get it. It's worth the cost for the athmosphere and the audiance participation alone. Especially the longer songs are all better performed then the studio versions, imo. The climax in Divine Wings Of Tragedy is goosebumps inducing.....

After one listen to TIO I'm not really into it. I'm pretty sure that will change with more listens, but when it comes to pre-V albums, my first impression of TDWOT was a lot more positive. I think some of the melodies and song structures on TIO sounded a bit forced.

I'm going to have to pull that one off the shelf.  I bought it a long time ago on a road trip, blasted it in the car on the way home, and don't remember ever playing it again.  No real reason why--just never thought of it again.  I'm going to have to dust it off.

Live On The Edge of Forever is pretty great.

I also checked out Iconoclast, its a good record and feels like symphony x.

I've never heard Live on the Edge of Forever, don't know why I haven't checked it out. Something I'll have to remedy.

I looked for that CD for years and one day I finally stumbled upon it at Zia Records. After I bought it I've seen like 3 more copies there. Same thing happened when I finally found Iced Earth's Dark Genesis on ebay. Shortly after it was at Zia.
