We have dueling RIP's going for him. This one and the Marvel thread over in the Movies forum. Copying and pasting my thoughts from that thread:

So he knew he had and fought Stage III colon cancer for 4 years. Stunning to think that he filmed Black Panther already knowing he had cancer. Think about that. Plus, the Avenger movies and everything else he did after BP.

Kudos to the man. Can't imagine the pain he was in and the struggles he went through to accomplish that. That's inspiration right there.

That was so unexpected! :(

Stage 3 colon cancer! He filmed Black Panther while he was doing chemo and undergoing surgeries! Doing stunts on set and getting jacked for a superhero role at the same time! What a hero. :hefdaddy

He had the potential to be the next Sam Jackson. He was so talented.

Fuuuck, waaay too young. Rest in peace.

Talented man for sure and he will be missed. It seems he truly lived his life to the fullest extent possible while being ill, that is indeed a great feat.

I'm not a big appreciator of actors, but Boseman's acting was one of the only things I liked about Black Panther.

And he was FANTASTIC as Jackie Robinson in 42.

Also, his appearance on SNL: Black Jeopardy was one of the best things ever!
